unfortunately, the best you can get for PSP slim

I have seen and used the grips that are availble for the original PSP and they are far superior to this one. I found this one lacking in many areas. It is completely plastic while older versions had rubber portions that made it harder to slide out of your hands. The grip is also slimmer than older versions making it less comfortable. It seems like the people who designed this grip to fit the new PSP 2000 forgot to look at older versions of this grip and use the great features offered by them. Other than these problems, the extra battery is great and truly makes the PSP last extremely long. Based on the fact that you have no other choice for the PSP 2000, I would recommend it, however, when another company decides for make the design better, I would recommend that you toss out this one and replace it with something better. Battery improves travel; grip reduces thumb cramps

Not perfect, but still great.

This item is great for two reasons.

1) I do a lot of international travel (read: really long flights), and this extended battery has removed all fears of my PSP's battery not lasting the whole trip. I have yet to see how long it will actually last, but my 12 hour flight to Japan was no problem. I tried to wear the battery down the other day so that when I charger it for my next trip I wouldn't overcharge it. I left the PSP on all day and the battery never died. I was impressed. So were my co-workers. I sold two more to them.

2) The added grips completely eliminated the left thumb cramps I used to get. I would always have to pause the game for awhile and stretch my thumb after playing the PSP for awhile. With these grips, it now feels like a Dual-Shock Playstation controller. It feels like an old friend.

Three Issues:

1) The plastic is smooth and unfinished. I would have preferred a textured surface like a PS controller. You don't really realize this while  more

Works well

I noticed after buying the PSP that my fingers would cramp up after playing for a little while. To hold the unit and use the controls can quickly cramp your fingers due to the size of the PSP, if you are an adult.

I picked up this unit to help out with the finger cramps so I can play the PSP for longer times. So far it is working well. There is a little movement of the PSP in the holder but nothing that bothers me. I like having the ability to play games longer with the more comfortable feel and with the extra batter life.

Overall this a nice little adaptor for your PSP if you experience the finger cramps and would also like to extend your battery life.
