I know this is going to be the only negative review and you know what? I love this game. I bought it for my Windows 98 computer and then when I switched to Windows XP I bought it again. You have to sign onto Valve/Steam every time you want to play the game, which is a huge pain, and when my XP computer crashed and died I tried to reload the game on the replacement XP machine. But the password that I knew was correct didn't work. So after spending on Half Life games, can't play. Does Steam have customer service? NO! Offer any help? NO! I'll never buy another Valve game again. If none of this would bother you, ignore it and good luck to you. I just don't think this is the way to do business.

The same problem, no listed minimal requirments, no listed notice that an internet hook up is required--and broadband..........not even on the box. Anyway, refer to my review about F.E.A.R. 2 for a more indepth explaination. Sorry for being such a 'stick in the mud' with you gamers but this is all I can do to make the producers of these programs straighten up and give out all the required information. Anyway, as far as the orange box goes, I 'still' don't know what the minimal system requirments are even after looking inside the box. Futher, the fact you have to have a internet connection isn't listed nor is the fact you must have broadband. So...despite having a new computer system....my system won't run these games because steam requires internet connection and broadband. I don't have broadband and my server cuts off after four hours. I really think all of us should get together and give everybody, who doesn't list all requirments, the one star middle finger. After all, the people

Game itself - 5 stars. There's probably no other game good as Half Life 2. This review is for the Orange Box however, not the game. THIS IS AN OVERPRICED PIECE OF ORANGE JUNK!!!!! Do NOT buy it! Reason: you may have a choice to buy HL2 online just for several bucks or buy the Orange Box for over $20. This "Box" contains 2 DVDs (one is in a paper envelope, because they wanted to save on plastic). During install you will be required to open a Steam account (you must be online to do so). Then every time you want to play the game, you will have to log into your Steam account, and play the game online. Even if you play it with your computer, and not the other gamers. So, buy the HL2 online for $2-$3 and save over $20 on this overpriced orange piece of c..p. And forget about playing HL2 offline. You can't play your game even though you have the discs in hand. Moreover, many people complain about Steam deleting games from users' accounts, with no warning and no reason. Oh, and there's that

This is one of the best deals in the gaming industry right now. I bet you can't go into any store and pay this price for 5 GAMES!!!!!
Half-Life and Half-Life Episode 1 and 2 are amazing. Portal is kinda short but challenging at first. Team Fortress 2 is one of my favorite games out there. Along with the multiplayer and many updates coming out for these games, there's nothing not to love.
