This is a very great game. i have played it alot. i love this game. the gameplay is fun. graphics are great. and the story is also great. overall all it is a very great game!!!

If you like 3rd person sword fighting, you're going to love this game. It also has the feature of espionage, with the silent kill (or knife in the back missions). I think that the replay value is incredibly high, since when I first got this, I couldn't put it down (even after I beat it). Speaking of the ending; that is one of the disappointing features, but I think that's because nothing is resolved since Ubisoft seemed to leave the ending open for a sequel. However, the gameplay is fantastic, it's an open world that lets you travel where you want, scaling buildings, into the sky, never gets old, and the swordplay (controller set) is great. Their are only two complaints that I have heard about this game: 1: the aforementioned lackluster ending & 2: it can be kind of easy to complete, although there are plenty of missions (not too short just kinda easy with once you learn the counter moves). Nonetheless, if you haven't played this game, you're missing out on one of the BEST games released

Let me preface this by saying that I have not read any of the other reviews for this game here on Amazon, so I have no idea what everyone else is considering the pros/cons. This is just my observations from playing the game that, I am sorry to say, I paid full retail price for. It should also be noted that I did not finish the game.
Let's start with the good:
Graphics: The graphics in this game are simply amazing. By far the best I have seen in a console game, ever. Even without playing it on an HD television, I thought that the designers did an amazing job with the scenery. Just climb to to the top of any of the look-out points in one of the cities and you'll see what I mean. Simply amazing.
Controls: The controls were very intuitive, not requiring any adjustmant time to get used to at all. That was a high point, as many games now require you to play with the controls a little bit before getting right to the action. There was none of that with this game.
Now on to the bad. Let me

I just beat Assassin's Creed yesterday, and I have to say that it is an experience unlike any other.
Grapics: A+
Plot: A-
Controls: B
Replay Value: C+
Game Difficulty (AI): A
Sound/Voice Acting: A
Game Format: Sandbox (any objective can be completed in any order, unless it is directly related to the main plotline)
Concept: A+
Overall: A
This is the best game I have ever played. For some, the stealth required might become tiring, and for sure it can be aggravating in the latter stages of the game when you are observed more intently by the guards, but as long as you have some persistence and good instincts, then you will have no problem getting through each objective. The game is incredibly fun, and the AI is perfect. Everything is challenging, but its never ridiculously hard. The final assassination took me three tries, but I did it.
Bottom line, this game is amazing. Also, there is garaunteed to be a sequel title, so that makes me happy. Hope this review helps sway people

I bought this for my fiance and I really enjoyed watching it and he said that it was challenging, but fun. I don't think that this game got the publicity it needed (that is why I called it a sleeper).

I bought this game as a gift for my brother, and he loves it. He had asked for it and explained that he would have to play it after his 10 and 8 year old boys were in bed, because it's a pretty violent game. My husband had so much fun playing it with him that he bought it too! This isn't appropriate, in our opinion, for kids. I would say 17 or 18 and up. The animation and graphics are phenomenal.

Purchased CD for son for Xmas. Easy to order and received in 3 days. Wonderful service. Opened CD on 12/26. CD had circular scratch, but tried anyway. Everything great till game reaches scratach, then stops. We tried several times. All other CDs (some from Overstock from relatives) work fine. I am now in process of exchanging or returning CD, so I cannot commet at this time. I hope the end results will be mutually beneficial to all.
