SanDisk Sansa Express MP3 Player (SDMX6R-2048K-A18)
This item works just like it is supposed to. It is easy to operate if you have any computer experience. The small size is great for outdoor activities and workouts. The screen is easy to read and the menu functions are easy to use. It's also nice to be able to recharge anywhere you have access to a computer without needing a cord. And it doubles as a memory drive...

SanDisk Sansa Express MP3 Player (SDMX6R-2048K-A18)
I bought this little player to use in my car to listen to audiobooks. I used to use a 5th gen iPod which I gave to my husband after I got an iPhone. It quickly became apparent that it was dangerous to use the iPhone as an mp3 player in the car since you can't even pause w/o looking at the screen. This little player filled in nicely. I've had it for about 4 months now and I'm very satisfied.

Pros:
1. Very compact and lightweight.
2. Doesn't require any special cradles, it plugs into any USB port. I've never had any problems in picking it up from other computers. (Very convenient for charging as well)
3. I don't need to look at it in order to pause or forward when driving.
4. Good sound for audiobooks. (The few times I've used it to listen to music it sounded descent as well).
5. Inexpensive. My husband thought I should buy an iPod nano or shuffle. But, both would be a lot more expensive, and the shuffle doesn't even have a screen (so I wouldn't know where I left off in an audiobook).
6.

SanDisk Sansa Express MP3 Player (SDMX6R-2048K-A18)
I really want to love the Sansa Express. It sounds great, is ultra-portable, has an excellent EQ feature (which is essential to me when listening to anything but CD or DVD audio), and the price is right.

I use it mostly for working out, so I don't need a full-color screen, and the navigation is bare bones but efficient. The Griffin clear case is a must as well, not just for protecting the Express, but for keeping the Micro SD card from popping out every time you touch it!

And that's where this player hits its limit. The Micro SD card slot supports 2GB without a problem, but when I tried an 8GB, it froze, and it only recognized the card as having 4GB, even though I formatted it within the player. My guess is this is a firmware issue that has not been resolved yet.

I could be the only one with this problem, but I eventually just took the 8GB card out completely, and started using a 2GB. Had I known that, I never would have purchased an 8GB Micro SD card. I haven't tried a 4GB or 6GB

SanDisk Sansa Express MP3 Player (SDMX6R-2048K-A18)
My husband and I travel all summer and thought this would be a great alternative to carrying all our CD's. Downloading music to the Sansa was super easy. Took a while to get used to the operation (should have read the manuel). Only drawback is that the "shuffle" does not work. After attempting many times to truly get a shuffle" of the 700+ songs, (it has GREAT capacity) I discovered on-line that this is a huge problem with this particular model. Other than that, it works great -- I guess I should have purchased a more expensive model for better "random" play.

SanDisk Sansa Express MP3 Player (SDMX6R-2048K-A18)
My SanDisk Sansa Express died after only two weeks. I called tech support numerous times, they told me the circuit blew and that I have to send it back to them for a replacement.

SanDisk Sansa Express MP3 Player (SDMX6R-2048K-A18)
I received this player and it seemed to be a great product for the 3 hours it worked.. I had charged the battery as indicated in the manual, loaded some music on it and listened for a while. Then after reconnecting it to my PC and removing it the device does nothing. A "hard reset" didn't help. Go over to the Sandisk site message board and read before buying this player. I did and ordered one anyway thinking it won't happen to mine... Now I'm going to try the Samsung U3.

SanDisk Sansa Express MP3 Player (SDMX6R-2048K-A18)
Good MPS for the price with more storage than many others in it's price range. Does not have a "video screen" which many may not like; but it also does not require a cable to connect player to your computer. For just listening to music with plenty of storage and easy down-loading, this player fits the bill at a reasonable price.

SanDisk Sansa Express MP3 Player (SDMX6R-2048K-A18)
Be sure you download the firmware updater from the Sansa website before you use your Sansa Express. If you don't, it will refuse to power up after only a few hours use. Once you fix this 'little' problem, this is a great machine for those who only want portable music. It is tiny, very lightweight, sounds great, holds a LOT of music (the 2 GB), and the USB port is extremely convenient. But the funky firmware is a definate problem.

SanDisk Sansa Express MP3 Player (SDMX6R-2048K-A18)
Very affordable and great quality music in a tiny package. I use the device to play music in my car, for jogging, and just anywhere else. I believe this is the best product out there for its particular category.

I recommend buying the 2 gb version because a 1 gb expansion card costs just about the same compared to the difference between the 1 gb and 2 gb versions of this product.

Only a few notes:
The shuffle option does not seem to spread out music from their initial alphabetical-order well.

A few minor problems of not turning on or freezing, but this occurs after unplugging the device from a computer or initially turning it on. The problems do not occur during playback. A "hard reset" fixes everything. When I bought this product, I noticed bad reviews, but I also noticed reviews that explained how to circumvent problems noted in the bad reviews. A "hard reset" was the answer in their reviews and the answer from my own experience as well.

SanDisk Sansa Express MP3 Player (SDMX6R-2048K-A18)
You probably won't find a better MP3 player for the price. While it has its flaws and occasionally buggy performance, the combination of size and features more than compensates for its shortcomings imo.

Pros:
1. Small size
2. Direct USB connection - no need to carry a USC cable around with you (although it comes with a small USB extension cable for use if you need it)
3. Doubles as a USB drive - I have had no problems storing all kinds of files on it
4. Syncs well with Windows Media Player or simply by drag and drop
5. FM player and recorder
6. Charges fairly quickly from computer
7. Decent battery life
8. Good sound quality
9. Micro SD expandable memory slot

Cons:
1. Prone to occasional glitches such as screen freezes (I found that connecting it to a live USB port will fix these problems)
2. Sound quality of FM recording is average at best
3. FM radio appears to mainly use headphones as antenna - may need to find the right pair of headphones for best FM signals
4. User interface could

SanDisk Sansa Express MP3 Player (SDMX6R-2048K-A18)
I bought the Sansa Express because I needed a flash drive for school and liked the idea of being able to just plug headphones in and listen to the music files. This was the best, not to mention cheapest,UMS mp3 player(flash drive mp3 player) I found, so I ordered it. It is EXACTLY what I needed. I didn't need any software other than Windows/WMP. All the features it mentions are there and work great. The only problem I had was that every once in a while when I disconnected it from the PC, it (the sansa, not the PC)locked up. All I did was connect back to the computer and it started up right. Other than that, it works just like you expect and is definitely a five.

SanDisk Sansa Express MP3 Player (SDMX6R-2048K-A18)
I use to put just whole albums in my 30Gb iPod ("Classic" iPod nowdays) so i was looking for a device to put singles and "one hit wonders". First i think to get an iPod Shuffle but then there was the Sansa with 2Gb (enough for my interest) and specially the FM tuner and recording options (also i was thinking use it to record some radio shows that i cannot attend when they go live) so i get one. How is doing this thing? Regular, very close to bad. I've been using the Sansa for a month and in a couple of times the thing just hang out, i mean it doesn't respond to any key and i have to wait until the battery goes down.

Pros (when the Sansa works):
- FM tuner and voice recording feature.
- Files transfer is simple. Just copy the files as you do in Windows.
- Light and fancy design.
- Equalizer presets (they make a real difference in the sound quality).
- Expandable storage capacity.

Cons:
- The menu/interface is confuse.
- The radio tuner is good when you listen live radio, but every show

SanDisk Sansa Express MP3 Player (SDMX6R-2048K-A18)
The first one that I received did not work properly; the forward button would not work, so I returned it. The second one worked properly. They should also tell you that they install half-a-dozen sample songs on it before it arrives; I was beginning to think that the first one was "used" because it already had songs on it, and it wouldn't work properly. It's a pretty decent MP3 player but it's impossible to see the screen when I'm outdoors, even though the screen is crisp and bright indoors.

SanDisk Sansa Express MP3 Player (SDMX6R-2048K-A18)
I'm not looking for an MP3 player that has a mischievous bent. Roughly once a week, my player decides to empty out the playlist or the radio presets. All on its own. (Even when it has been in my pocket, playing away, with the lock on.) This is big on the hassle factor scale. There are plenty of MP3 players out there with a number of good features, and the Sansa Express is one of them. However, this random reset is not a feature that I like.

SanDisk Sansa Express MP3 Player (SDMX6R-2048K-A18)
This is the slickest, easiest to use, and most intuitive electronic device I've ever purchased. The sound is fantastic, it easily charges from the computer's USB 2.0 port, the flash drive holds over 500 songs, and the tiny screen is easily read with these 65 year old eyes. I can't believe all the function built into this tiny device. If you're considering a non-video MP3 player you would be hard pressed to find a better choice for $80. I know I couldn't.

PS: It works great with the free MS Windows Media Player 11.0!
