I got this product because I am on my laptop every day for hours. It can get uncomfortable. I love this product because it absorbs all of the heat from the laptop and makes it easy to move my laptop around. The handles on the side are very convenient. I highly recommend this product.

Belkin's CushTop Notebook Stand is a good product for those that like to use their laptops on their laps while sitting on a couch or recliner. The stand adds a little height, which means it may be great if used in your lap or on a coffee table but perhaps not so great if used at eye level. It can be flipped over for use with a 15.4 inch laptop or a 17 inch widescreen, though it will also obviously work with smaller sizes. There are a variety of colors as well.
Antec's USB-Powered Notebook Cooler is great cooler, but not very comfortable when used directly on the lap. Some may opt to use this in combination with the Belkin cushtop or with a Jumbo Lap Desk like I do. Others may just want to get the heat away from their legs and not require any additional cooling, in which case the cush-top stand alone may be enough.
I still have mixed emotions about this lap cushion, because I personally always use my notebook cooler so this is not ideal for me. But as a gift I have seen this work

I wanted something that would allow me to use my laptop on my lap without me having to feel the heat. I didn't want to use a pillow because they can be flimsy. I also didn't want anything with a fan that needed to be plugged in. I did research on many laptop stands and they all were pretty much plastic which I didn't think would be comfortable in my lap. They mostly looked as if they were supposed to be used on a desk. Then I came across this and really liked it. The fabric that covers it looks and feels really durable. My 15.4 inch laptop fits perfectly on top and does not slide off. I also don't feel the heat on my legs anymore. It isn't as soft as a pillow but it still is comfortable. It has a firmness to it that is just right. The middle "storage" pocket isn't at all great for storing anything. It definitely is too narrow for my mouse or power cord. I wasn't planning on using that for storage anyway tho. Its very useful tho for when I am carrying this with my laptop on
