good package deal

got what i expected, got it on sale so it was really a good deal if you are going to buy a play and charge kit anyway save 5 on the package and with the sale price it was basically the cost of just the controller. never had a problem with these controllers

Great controller

Same controller as the one that comes with the system, but looks great in black. As with the original, very functional and easy to use. All of the buttons are easily accessed and used. Play & charge plug is nice for a drained battery but shouldnt be used as a regular charging method.

Another great Xbox 360 product.

I rated the price 3 stars, because to me it's expensive, they should lower the price a little bit. It's worth buying though because I love the fact that the controller comes with the battery pack, so you don't have to spend alot of money on regular batteries. The controller is great too, cause it lasts long, it's comfortable, and it's wireless so less wires to trip over.

nice and good remote

this is a great remote. now i hav 3 remotes. i am so glad that it came with a battery and charger. the controller is so comftable. beats the ps3's and chews up the wiis. buy this, if you want another remote in ur games room.

Works as expected

An easy way to save the extra batteries in the house for other items. The controller is charged via the XBOX provided USB port and the cable is 9 feet long, enough to stretch to either sofa in my living room. As stated, you can indeed play while the controller charges. Long story short, it is very convenient and the kids don't have to salvage the extra batteries from the TV remote to play and was still $10 cheaper to buy here than it was in any of the local stores, even after shipping! It is also not the ugly white color so it can hide in the entertainment center.

Xbox 360 Play & Charge Kit with Black Controller

Very nice controller, it charges fast! You can either play the game wirelessly, or wired. When it is wired it is charging the battery so you will always be able to play! I reccomend buying 1 more battery because they dont't live forever!

Good for an add on.

This is a great controller, it is very responsive and is very comfortable. It is also great because it comes with a charger. If you are looking for another add-on controller, or to replace a broken controller, I would reccomend getting the controller with the charger.

My Favorite Controller

By far the best controller of its kind on the market. In MY oppinion it is easily better than the PS3 six axis and much better than the Wiimote.

If you game at all on a frequent basis GET THE PLAY AND CHARGE! it will save you time, money, and frustration when you must stop playing because you have no more batteries.

Holds a great charge and has the ability to buy spare batteries. The only thing i have as a complaint would have to be that mine tends to get dirty where i cant seem to clean it, even with a Q-tip. Also i had to actually return the first one that i bought because it squeaked so badly and it would NOT stop. However Best Buy exchanged it with little questions asked.

Solid Controller

This is just like the original Xbox 360 controller, except black. It's comfortable, convienent, and cool. Some people nag about the price, but it comes with a rechargable battery and the play and charge kit cable. Would it make us all happier if it was $10 cheaper? Yes. Is it still worth paying the full price for it? Yes.

Best controller setup ever!

Let's get straight to the point. The two most important things about any video game controller are the comfortibilty and the convenience it offers; this controller nails them both! I have owned my xbox 360 for about a month now (coming from an N64 and PS2, LOL) and I have to say that I love the way that the controlls are set up! They are so much more convenient than any other system I have ever played.

A major improvement that I have noticed with this controller opposed to others, is where the d-pad is placed. I love the convenience that it offers being below the left analog stick; it seems to make it more accessable. This is awesome for games that require the d-pad to change weapons or items.

Another thing that is new to me with the 360 controller would be the ability to power your system on and off with the push of a button! Though it's not a huge point to hit on, it is one feature that is truly impressive in my opinion! I like being able to turn my system on and off  more

A great kit for both casual and daily gamers!

My favorite feature with this charger is that you can use you home PC's USB port to charge the controller, avoiding the need to keep your console on for hours.

I bought my first of these a little over a year ago and the battery still retains the same charge/lasts almost the same length of time.

If you own four controllers, I would recommend getting two Plug N Play kits and two Rechargeable Batteries (separately). This way you always have at least two of your controllers fully charged and if your planning to gave a game party you can charge as many controllers as you want at once on your computer.

The controller is the same as you would get with the XBOX 360 Elite and has a nice black finish. Sturdy construction and scratch resistant. They can take quite a beating and still maintain full functionality.

Finally, if you do choose to charge the controller on your console while playing, the cable is over 8' long so you should have no trouble being able to  more

Classic Black

Nice Black Color and no need to buy replacement batterys. pays for itself after a couple of recharges. You can also charge it while your playing! I have not had to buy batterys for a year now!

Great for all XBOX 360 gamers

This is perfection in a box!
Even if you don't want to charge it while playing, it will charge while the console is turned off if you still have it plugged in.

Great Product

The controller its self is just great. The play and charge kit along with it also is really nice. It takes around 6 hours to charge the pack to full from empty which isnt that long but sort of is. A full charged pack will last a fairly long time at least a few weeks with playing a couple hours a day. This will save you a good amount of money in AA batteries. The only things that isnt great about the charge and play is how it uses the same USB port as the wireless unit so if you use wireless you cant charge and play on live at the same time. So if you only play Live i would really recommend this product to you.

Great deal for controller

The 360 controller is the best console controller I have ever used. It fits the hand really well and unlike playstation controllers, has triggers. This is a great buy because it includes the battery pack as well as the controller.

As far as the Play and Charge Kit is concerned...

This is a must have with your 360 and a controller.

You can plug it in via USB to your Xbox 360 and charge the included battery pack while you play your game.

You can also remove your battery pack, and plug the cable directly to your 360 for wired gaming (so your controller won't shut off while you are in the middle of that hired driver Forza race.

This charges via any USB port on your 360, your computer, your cable box, or your dog (if he has included USB hub).

I recommend buying one of these, then buying the Quick Charge Kit. Then you'll have 2 battery packs, the quick charge dock, and a USB charge cable.

As far as the controller is concerned, it's a great color, and is your typical xbox 360 controller otherwise. Great ergonomics and fits in your color scheme whether you have the black or white console.

Simple Kit

I picked up this kit due to it having everything I needed for constant play. And it basically does just that. The controller works great and so does the battery pack. I just wish they had a Black rapid charge kit. Buy this its as good as it looks.

A must have for all 360 players

Why put your game on pause so that you can change your batteries? with the play and charge kit, you can have continuous playtime. when it is out of juice, simply plug it in to charge and keep on gaming! No more wasting money on those pesky AA batteries.

Great investment

When ever my friends came over I had to take turns passing around the one controller. So I decided to get a new controller. I saw this controller and thought it was awesome! no more batteries it comes with its own battery pack(unlike most controller packs). The only problem lies in the website and not the proudout looking at the description and the picture I thought it charged wirelessly but it does charge through a wire. But go out and buy it now!!!!!

Greatest Controller To Buy

This product is amazing. First off all, the black color looks amazing, and the controller feels exactly the same as the regular white ones. The play and Charge kit and pack work great, so you never need to replace the batteries. you have all the advantages of both the wireless and wired controllers with this bundle. buy it right away.

Best Controler Ever

I love this thing! It allows me to have a wired controller or a wireless controller whenever I want! I went out and bought 2 more battery packs and another Play & Charge kit for my other controllers and I love never having to leave when I'm playing online because my controller decides it likes to eat my batteries. I noticed my D-Pad is a little loose, but it is only noticeable when the controller is rumbling furiously and that might not be the case for everyone.
All in all, great job, Microsoft!

Controller, WITH CHARGER?!

I find this controller appealing because it is black and it has a charger. The fact that there is a charger is awesome because you get alot of gameplay outof the controller per charge and you dont hae to go out and spend money on batteries or rechargeable batteries. this controller already does it. Its quite conveinent.

Best bundle on the market

This is a great buy for anyone needing a new controller. it bridges the gap between the power friendly wired controler and the hassle free wirless controller. it comes loaded with everything you need to charge the battery out of the box. it can also be used with normal batteries if the need arose. the cord is plenty long but if you feel so inclined, you can buy an extension for a little more than $7. plus if you are smart, you can charge it when you won't be moving a lot it, so it will be wireless when the gameing heats up. it is also the only way to get a black controller that matches the battery. it is unarguably the best controller bundle on the market, but it dosn't cost any more than the controller and the "play and charge kit" bought seperatly.

Great Package

If you need a controller, get this pack. The black controller looks and works great, and instead of replacing batteries every time they run low, you just need to plug the controller into the Xbox 360. While they are charging the controller is like a normal wired controller, and when they are finished, you can unplug it and use the wireless functions again. This saves you the money it takes to buy new batteries and the time it takes to change the batteries.

I hate batteries.

I hate batteries, and I hate paying for them. I hate when they die out, and I hate not having any around. That's why I picked up the XBox 360 controller with the play and charge kit. I can plug the controller in (and continue to use it) when the battery runs low, and re-charge it! Obviously it's a controller, so there's not a lot to say about that. It works well. Rather than get the play and charge kit seperately I just bought them together. The only reason I rated this at 4 instead of 5 stars is that $70 is a bit much for a video game controller. I would buy one again, but I wish it were a bit less expensive.

Only controller set to buy!

If you are going to buy a new controller for your Xbox, this is the only one you need. It's black, which is cool, but saves you a couple dollars by including the rechargeable battery and the wired charger. Excellent set!!! Goes great if you own the recharging station and any additional batteries as well. Worth the little xtra cash.

Preferable to the white ones

Considering you have to get more additional controllers, unless your planning on extreme personal use, the price is pretty much non-negotiable. Which is unfortunate considering the previous generations controllers were only about a third the cost. However the blue tooth capability lives up to its name providing reliability demanded of gamers as well as the battery and charger giving the player near unlimited hours with the controller. With the exception of sleep of course. On the aesthetic note I do prefer the look of the black over the other white controllers, it makes them look less fake and fragile.
