SanDisk 64GB Cruzer Glide USB Flash Drive with Secure Access SDCZ60064GA
Cons: Slow Transfer of Files
I would not buy this item for daily transfer (backup/restore) of files, far to slow. It would be ok for an archive or small storage device where speed was not an issue...
Pros: Great Price for lots of storage
Cons: Cannot be used to make Win System Image Backup
On special sale I bought this 64GB Flash USB to take a first system image of a newly loaded Win 7 laptop (programs/data). After reformatting FLASH drive to NTFS from eFAT, backup still would not work. Tho there was enuf space, I found out Win 7 Backup program cannot place files larger than 4 GB in size onto a FLASH device. Only an external hard drive or DVD's (very slow process) will work. DVDs/CDs work because special techniques are used to break files into small enuf pieces to span multiple disks, to later be fused together upon restoral.
Pros: Holds a lot of stuff
Cons: USB Flash Drives are slow to write to
Seems like I never have enough room on whatever Flash Drive is in my bag. The 64GB SanDisk Cruiser is bigger than most, so it does a better job of holding everything.
Pros: Good price, easy to use, large amount of space.
Cons: Could be faster?
This is a great flash drive with a large amount of space. Got it while it was a deal of the day, so I got it for 32.99, great price! I use it for files and movies to stream on my PS3 and it works great! Of course, some gigs are stolen from you as with any storage device so its technically a 59 gig flash drive. I keep it around my key ring so I always have it with me. Love SanDisk and I love this flash drive!
Pros: Time Saver!!!!
Quick and easy to use..Great for moving files from one computer to another without having to use eternal drives or numerous flash drives.
This size drive is perfect for the normal household user..
Pros: Encryption feature and capacity
Cons: Management software is not so user friendly
Great product with built-in encryption feature. The sliding cap design is good as well. The only minor drawback is ease of use in the encryption software though it's not too bad. It works fine on my Windows 7 with 64 bits.
Pros: Capacity, No cap required, Size
Cons: Speed, Security, Easily lost
My reason for purchasing this was the included security software. I wanted to offload files from my MacBook Pro and put them in a lockbox that I could carry around my neck. I had to download the MAC version of the software (no problem), load it onto the device (likewise), and run it from the flash drive. I created the lockbox and moved things into it but couldn't get them out again--BIG problem. Because of this I have used the device as a 'sneakernet' tool but even when copying files to/from the non-lockbox section the response is extremely slow compared to a 4200RPM Portable HD.
Pros: small & compact
Cons: large files take time to download.
I was able to get it for around 30 dollars, because of deal of the day.
I love putting movies on the flashdrive so i can watch them at work
while on break it means i no longer need to carry dvds with me when i am on the move i wish sandisk would make a flashdrive thats twice
the sive for the price.
Pros: Not a thing - doesn't work
Cons: Everything - fails over and over tried 2 units on 3 computers
While it should be simple to use a flash drive to transfer files - (returned one of these as it didn't seem to work) got a second and it fails over and over and over. Can't even get 1 GB to copy let alone the 64 GB. Tried both on 3 computer - updated San Disk software - just doesn't work. Should be awarded worst product of the year award - this should be a simple thing to use, but it is JUNK. (Thought I had a lemon - Best But was great and replaced it - but 2 lemons - I don't think so - So much for the prior quality of SanDisk - won't ever use their products again and will spread the word about such a rip off)
Pros: Lots of memory , small size, easy operation
Cons: Nothig so far excepting that it was't free!
So far so good but it's memory so it should be OK. Never had any issues with any SanDisk memory so I am hopefull that this situation will continue with this stick also. Love the large capacity. It's the largest stick that I own so I don't have previous experience with 64 Gb but I assume that it will do as good a job as the 2, 4, 8. & 16 Gb SanDisk sticks I now own. Checking around this was about as good a deal as I have found. Paid $59.99 for 64 Gb. Less than a dollar per Gb, that's pretty good value in my book. If issues arrise I will update my review.
Pros: Capacity and ease of use
Cons: Preloaded software
I purchased this large capacity flashdrive so that I could store and carry all my files off the PC (I have only program files on the PC). This way, if I change PCs -- say, between my work PC and my home PC -- I always have my data files with me. It also means, if my PC crashes for some reason, my files are not lost.
This SanDisk Cruzer USB Drive is one of the cheapest and may serve as a portable storage to easily back up large files. Although its read speed is reasonly fast, writing data to this USB drive is slow.
Pros: Easy To Setup, Easy To Use, Fast, High Capacity, Portable, Reliable
I use this product to back upfiles and also archive downloads for easy tranfer to different computers. The item is fast and affordable (about $1 per GB). It is largre enogh to store all my files for back up that are in "immediate" use.
Sandisk changed the security software from the way it used to be. I had to do things over and over again and wound up just moving it all to a folder I never use and only now use the drive itself. The security part I used to enjoy is now gone. I'll never get another Sandisk Cruzer again.
Pros: Easy to Customize
I was hoping that I can get a bootable Carbon Copy Clone but it won't do that. It was not advertised as such, but I was hoping. I erased first clone and cloned again, without the System.

It is a very small backup, hardly noticeable in your pocket. All my files are 33 GB, so there is plenty of room
