After all the good reviews, I expected a good experience. It's for my wife's iPhone 4 (not 4s) which is currently running iOS 6.0. When the iPhone was plugged into the dock, I got a message something like "This Device is Not Compatible with iPhone". We had downloaded the suggested iPhone app for use with this device, but apparently it made no difference.

Really great speaker system that has every feature you can ever need. Love the sound quality and the nifty little app that comes with it for the iphone

I bought an earlier Sony Clock radio with iPhone/iPod dock for the iPhone 3GS, and it's still working (3 years), but the port wasn't deep enough for the iPhone 4s, so I bought this one. It works great, and the sound is better than the older one. As an added bonus, this one also works with the iPad. It charges the iPad, but very slowly. I love it.

Overall, the product looks like a great clock radio with a true digital tunner. The radio works good even in the rural area where I live. Unfortunately, the alarm function controls are somewhat obscure and confusing. So, I am not confident that I can make it work without paying extreem close attention to the settings. When I am tired or half asleep, it is unlikely that i will be able to set it or turn it off. (The old unit has a simple slide switch that can be located and opperated with my eyes closed!) At this point, I think that I am either going to use it as a simple garage radio or, just return it.

I was in search of a ipod charger and also looking for a good alarm clock. I found this Sony dock/alarm radio for a good price and read reviews that it was pretty good. I was really impressed with the alarm setup, as you are allowed to create to alarms for weekdays or weekends. Plus, you can setup the alarm to play your ipod or radio preset. The sound is amazing. The volume goes up to 30 and at 10 it is already pretty loud. The only thing I didn't like is how dim the light is during the day even at full brightness. The brightness is adjustable but is the clock is almost only visible in the dark.

This is the best alarm clock that I have found out in the market that will play my iPod or radio and has multiple alarm functionality. It has many features and great sound.

Bought this radio for use in the master bathroom. The clock display, radio presets, iPod capability and features are what drew me to this model. The sound is pretty good, but could be better on AM (yes, I actually listen to that ancient band now and then). Tone controls or, better yet, a simple equalizer, would let me tailor the sound better to the space.

I really like this dock, I tested out several in the store for about an hour before I settled on this one. What sold me was the quality I got for what it cost. I almost chose the iHome because it looked really sleek and the flat top made it easy to plug my phone into the port but the last test I did, was to play a song with really intense bass and turn it up all the way. The Sony outperformed the iHome easily, there was more clarity and it was actually able to be louder than the iHome without losing sound quality. It's a little hard at first to put my iphone on the dock of the Sony because I have a thick case for it and instead of removing the case everytime, I just make sure its lined up really well, after a few tries, I got used to it. I wanted something with a remote, clock, radio, charge my iphone and have good sound quality and the Sony gives me all of these. And it was about 10 bucks less than the iHome.

This is a great docking station with many great features. The best feature of this product is the great sound quality. It sound even better at home than it did in the store on the day I purchased it.

It is a good item. Easy to setup and my 12 year old son loves it. He takes it with him to some of his friend's house to play their Ipod touch music on.

I bought this unit for my office so I could listen to either my iPod Classic or the radio. The sound quality is very good for its size and price. The remote allows me to stop playing the iPod and or turn down the sound when I receive telephone calls or visitors. This is one of my best purchases in recent history. Very happy with it.

correctly prized,. easy to use and simple to setup, only negative feed back is about the sound quality, since I am comparing with the Bose sound dock, other then that this product is valued for the prize you pay...

The sound and price are very good! I tested quite a few docking stations for my iphone and Sony had the best product and price. The Bose system was nice too but the price was out of my range. Thank you again Sony for a wonderful product!

This was a great purchase. I use it to charge my iPod, stream music, and as an alarm clock. The sound quality is great, and the display isn't so bright that is disturbs my sleep. I love being able to control my iPod with the remote.

We bought this for my girls that are 11 for there first alarm clock. The fact that it had the ipod dock was a bonus feature that has worked out great for them.
