Pros: Easy To Set Up, Fast, Highly Compatible, Runs cool, Secure, Small
I bought this modem/router to replace an old one from Qwest/Century Link. I was particularly impressed with how easy it was to set it up. I followed the instructions on the product's manual downloaded from D-Link site, and used the Setup Wizard on the modem/router's default URL. For the internet connection I selected the "Enable DSL Auto-scan" and it discovered the connection type, protocol, VPI and VCI. There were two parameters that I had to guess and I either guessed them right or they didn't matter for the connection to work. In a few minutes it was up and running and I was accessing the internet, without the need to call Century Link or D-Link for assistance.
It doesn't get hot like other modem/routers.
It comes with a CD for installation but I preferred to set it up through the modem's URL. The maximum wireless range is about 58 ft, with a couple of walls in between, which is adequate for my needs. I have been using this modem/router for about 3 weeks and I am quite happy with it.
