Took me time to get wireless going. Once done, I don't use HardDisk at all. I am streaming HD content w/o any problems, but my wireless signal is always @ 90%+.
e-mail to their tech site is a suspect, as it has been over 2 weeks I asked a question w/o answer. Looked in the forums to resolve wireless setup problems but you get a lot of misleading guidance. Also some users trash them ,but I can tell this is due to user;s technical inabilities, rather than product quality. With that said, it could be somewhat time consuming for the average non tech person to get going to their likings. I can't imagine my wife setting it up....

All said and done, I am extremely happy with it. My wife loves it.
4 (not 5) star because some file could not be played( X something encoding) and yes, minor software bugs, which is not a big deal to me. I burned their korean firmware and now it support korean font/menu.I see they have chinese hebrew firmware as well.. Love it.

Installation and setup was easy. Adding a hard drive was a breeze. The picture is nice, the user interface is intuitive, although the remote control is of poor quality. The biggest problem is the firmware; software quality control seems to have been a low priority on this product.

The system came with firmware version 1.0.8 installed. Upgrading to 1.1.2 solved some of the bugs, and added some nice features, but some serious flaws remain. The most serious problem is with some Divx formats; when played from the HDD, the "Loading..." icons remains on screen, controls are disabled, and the video plays for 30 minutes or so before freezing. The only option at that point is to power cycle the unit. When the same file is played across the wireless network, the problem disappears, but video can become quite choppy.

The latest firmware version allows almost all MP3 files I tried to play properly, but some JPG pictures still cause the unit to crash. Again, the only way out of those is a power cycle.

Fast-forward

Honestly, if I had to do it over again, I would get the MG-35. The wireless is nice and I was able to stream an DVD .ISO to the MG-250HD from my PC without problems (just a bit of choppiness after fast forwarding, but it went away in a few seconds). I'd get the MG-35 because the WiFi is worthless for copying the DVD images to the MG350-HD (about 2+ hours to copy one DVD .ISO file). So, if you are not going to be streaming from a computer, the wireless is worthless (unless you want to use the unit as a slow NDAS device).

It's easy to setup. Works great (slide show viewing is just okay). The upscaling to 1080i is nice. I couldn't try the 1080p because my TV doesn't support it.

The remote is fine. Some have complained about it; however, I found it to be very intuative and the layout was fine.

NDAS setup was a breeze.
