Pros: Innovativ battle system that allows you to fight more than 1 at the time.
Amazing graphics.
Cons: Never will be a sequel.
A bit short.
I have read some reviews claiming 'this is what happens if Disney goes wrong', and I can't agree more. The graphics are real disney like, and even the backgrounds could easily fall into any disney movie, but there the similarities end. Rau, our main protagonist, wants to become a famous hero, known throughout the world, so he sets out on his epic journey to glory. This may sound a bit like a clichè, but the story has enough twists to keep you interested throughout the game. Top that with good voiceovers, and great graphics you got the combinations needed for a great game!
The fighting system may seem, at first, a bit complicated. But with your trainer giving you advice throughout the game, and an training area which you can visit at any time during th game you will come to love this system. The right analoge stick will select targets and assign buttons to each target so you can fight up to four enemies at once. You even have a bird that can scout the area ahead of you so you can

This game gets a definite thumbs-up from me. It is equally well crafted in its gameplay, graphics/sound, and atmosphere. The story is not bad for a non-rpg, though you won't get a whole lot of character development.
You are Rau, a young warrior trained to fulfill a prophecy and protect the land from a vile clan that wishes to unleash powerful dark magic. Through your quests, you develop your skills, expand your weaponry, and uncover the plot to bring about your own downfall.
The graphics are GORGEOUS! The environments you play through range from tropical jungles to ancient cities in winter. The art direction here is primo. It all seems to have influences from the barbarian fantasy genre with ancient south american/ polynesian motifs mixed in. Very cool.
Play control was excellent. The game uses a unique targeting system that allows you to quickly shift your focus during combat and even allows multi-targeting for some of Rau's wider ranging attacks. Stealth kills are also an option,

it is said that "the mark of kri" is new and innovative, but to me it is a real headache. the game begins well enough. you play as rau, a barbarian that has trained for years with your sword. and what a swordsman he is, among the stuffed dummies. yes rau hasnt seen real combat for he has been training at an inn with his master waiting for a chance to venture out into the real world searching for adventure. that day finally comes when the inn keeper tells you of some banditts that have been killing road travelers. this is rau's chance to prove himself as a true warrior and gain some fame. this is when you get your first chance to put your sword into something other than a stuffed dummy. when rau finally engages an enemy this is where the "fun" is supposed to begin but well...i would have more fun poking myself in the eye then use the combat system of "the mark of kri". you see, when you engage an enemy you have to use the right analog stick to focus your attention. when you do this an icon
