Exactly what I was looking for.

I bought this unit to replace a Magnavox under cabinet kitchen radio that failed. This one is much better.

What I like best:
1) Ease of use
2) Sound
3) Line in for my MP3 player
4) Takes 3 CDs
5) Styling
6) Remote control

Areas of improvement:
1) Takes a little long for CDs to start playing
2) Would have been nice to come in white to match my cabinets
3) Programming the presets can be a pain
4) Back light stays on even after you turn off unit. We should be able to control whether back light turn offs when unit is powered down.

As far as I know, this is one of the highest quality, most feature packed, reasonably priced under cabinet kitchen radios out there. I highly recommend it.

Great!!

This clock radio/CD player is great. It is under the cabinets in my kitchen and is a great product. It is slim and doesn't take up much room. The sound quality is also very good. No complaints - glad I bought this.

Another great Sony product!!!

I did a lot of research and finally decided on this unit. The installation was really easy, the three disc changer works flawlessly. I love the aux input. I play my ipod on it or connect it to my laptop and play either my itunes or stream from the internet.

Great sound quality for such a small unit. I love the remote with strong magnet for the fridge. I like being able to shuffle songs b/t all three discs.

The only downfall is the Aux cable. It is about 6 inches long so I had to go out and spend $25 for a longer one. If you plan on just using a small mp3 player then the 6 inch one is perfect.

I would definitely purchase again.

OK, but wouldn't buy it again

Cons: no input for external antenna, no battery backup

I use this radio mostly in the morning or in the evening when I'm in the kitchen, mainly to listen to the news. When reception is good, I really like this radio. On days when reception is bad, I hate this radio with a passion. If I could do it over again, I'd get a different radio that has external antenna input for both AM and FM, as well as battery backup for power outages so I don't have to reprogram everything again and again and again. (and yet again...)

I rarely use the CD player or MP3 input because the speakers on this unit aren't really built for serious music listening. But I'm glad to have those options because when the radio reception gets bad (which it often does) I have some music to distract me from being utterly annoyed by the product designer.

Just what I was looking for...

I was looking for a quality CD player/radio for the kitchen and this is it. It receives radio well and the sound is excellent for a unit of this type. The pictures don't seem to do it justice. Although it appears somewhat "clunky" in the pictures, it does have an attractive appearence for a kitchen radio. I am very satisfied with this unit.

Would buy again

Since my husband constantly listens to the radio at home this was a great way to save space and stop the constant tuning in of channels to get it right. Those preset channel savers are great!! I like having it mounted and off the floor or counter. The sound is SONY, need I say more. It's nice to have the 3 CDs available to be listened to as well. When I was researching this product I went into a retailer to get Sony's cheaper model and this more expensive model (about $30 +/-) was there. So many more features you cannot believe!!! I actually mounted it myself (being the perfectionist I am and having brand new kitchen cabinets) and that wasn't a problem either, even for me. Glad I made this purchase and from Amazon, I really saved about $30-50.
