The Good: The interface and graphics are very pretty. There seems to be a good amount of control over your car's setup (wedge, spoiler, tires, etc.) which is important for us nascar fans. Graphics are very pretty.
The Bad: There are only two controls for setting up your controller/wheel.
The Ugly: The game is almost completely unplayable. I've tried with my controller and my racing wheel to little avail. With only two settings to adjust (Linearity and Sensitivity), any methods of controlling the car are futile. A slight turn will run you right into the retaining wall or another vehicle. To maintain yourself behind another car in order to draft air off them is excruciatingly difficult. You'll find that the slightest movement to counter steer will throw your vehicle out of control.
Conclusion: Unless you're into sadomasochism or feel the need to challenge your inner Buddha with a hair pulling experience, I would avoid this game... and most EA titles for that matter. EA is becoming

I dont know how good this game is with the steering wheel, but with the controller it is a mess. I had to de-tune the handling of the car so that I could actually hold a line and drive in traffic. Maybe I have a bad case of parkinsons, but you have to basically press left-left-left-left-left-left... to make it through the turn. This is extremely difficult when you are 3 wide and you stand a good chance of bouncing off other cars. I have Forza, and I'm able to drive the tracks (even the high speed oval) by just holding the analog stick slightly left. Like I said, maybe it is different with the steering wheel, but I'm cutting my losses at $59.99.
Additionally, the online play is horribly flawed. I dont even want to get into it, but suffice to say people were driving backwards on the track and finishing in first. Additional problems exist during season mode with random black flags for passing under the yellow when in first and 6 seconds ahead of the closest car. Yeah, and the spotter
