Love my Garmin

I had been waiting a while for a navigator that came with both North America and Europe installed, and had great reviews, to come down in price. The reason I give only 2 stars for value is because I still believe it is a toy -- handy but not necessary. Ok, I do pride myself on never getting lost, because I can read a map and follow signs and have an inate sense of direction, and I will not equate buying a GPS unit to admitting defeat. Another mark against the value aspect is this function will eventually be included in more and more phones. However, I'm personally not getting an iPhone until I can use it with Verizon.
...But I digress, back to the Nuvi: User-friendly and intuitive, which is good because I hate reading instructions. So far we've used it in Michigan, British Columbia, and all over Western Washington. Not once has it given me what I consider a 'stupid' routes, like occasionally pop up from online services. It has even been aware of several major construction detours. I love  more

Fantastic GPS

This product has been fantastic. I travel all over the country and use rental cars. This device will pay for itself in a few short months (if you include the Hertz neverlost cost that is associated with rental cars.).

So far I have used it in 7 different markets in 7 different states and it has never failed me.

The only thing that you should be aware of when purchasing this product is that downloading the new maps costs an additional eighty dollars.
