I recently purchased an Insignia 32" rated at 1080p and 120hz. i have a 360, Gamecube, and PS2 connected. The cube and 2 were connected with the factory composite (red, white, yellow) cables and looked like you were watching a 1950's tv show when you played games. I purchased this cable for the 2 and composite for the cube and WOW what a difference!!! I really pity those who have a HDTV and a PS2 connected with composite cables. What are you waiting for??? You need to upgrade. This is a great alternative for parents who can't afford a PS3 but want their children to have a good gaming experience on an HDTV. Good luck all and HAPPY GAMING!!!

Ive read on message boards that all ps2-ps3 AV output are the same along with their slim versions, but this cable doesnt fit in my PS3 Slim, i keep thinking should i force it? Risk my 2 month old PS3 slim by jamming the plug in? OR am i the unlucky one with a defected cable, the express shipping was like $10 too,,, now if i go call sony's customer support- id expect to pay for more shipping costs and time wasted to ship back for a refund which i dont even know if id get a shipping cost refund as well

We recently replaced a tube TV with a 720p LCD TV. When we hooked up our PS2 I was unpleasantly surprised with how jagged the images were from our games (Ratchet and Clank, Final Fantasy, etc.). It was pretty much unusable. I found some good help on the internet and followed the recommendations I found to a) Hook up PS2 to HDTV using a component cable and b) adjust the output of the PS2 to 480i and see if that improves the image. This cable improved the image quality to an acceptable level so I can actually play my PS2 games on the TV. I am very happy with this product.

Good cables for cheap HD option. Got mine about a year ago, worked fine for awhile, then a small problem occurred. The cable must have broke inside because occasionally if the cable moved too much, I lost audio and/or video and would have to move the cable around for awhile to get them back. The HD looks just as good as my MediaBridge HDMI and Sony HDMI do (my TV only outputs 1080i). Other than the problem that happened to me, its a great HDMI alternative cable at a reasonable price.

My PS2 (SCPH 30001 "Fat") looked terrible using the standard composite cable into my Sony Bravia tv. Sounds were popping and hissing and the picture was too dark to enjoy any game I had. This component cable took care of all of that in a hurry. That is, after I switched around the two red colored cable ends. If you buy this cable and you've got color streaks or ghosting.. try switching the red cables around. These cables brought back crisp pictures and clean sound. Makes the PS2 playable again and 'durn sexy' on a big screen. The PS3 looks good, too. Also, I've seen it a dozen times in the reviews before I forgot that you have to change your PS2 settings for Y, CB/PB, CR/PR. It only takes 30 seconds to fix that, but if you switch out cables and don't change it from RGB output, you won't hear or see anything. Easy fix. You don't have to change the display ratio if you don't want to, I use Full because I paid for a whole tv. :) Also, while I'm at it, if you're getting scared
