Our children knew what to do as soon as they opened the box! Played for a good 12 hours straight with friends. The game tells who was the best player, so there are no arguments who ' wins' each round! Rock On!!

This is the cheapest guitar I've seen for GH so far and while it's not as good as the one that you can buy with the game, the money you save is worth the little frustrations this guitar may cause. The biggest problem I've had with it is that unless you are standing or sitting up *very* straight it's hard to deploy star power and many times I've found myself swinging the guitar up over and over causing me to miss notes. Other than that it's a great deal if you don't want to shell out $80 for a game controller.

I bought two wireless guitars for GH2, the official guitar from Red Octane (or Activision) and this knock-off from Nyko. The buttons on the Nyko Front Man are hard to press and stick frequently. The whammy bar broke. Compared to the smooth and effortless performance of the Red Octane guitar, this one stinks. We draw straws and the loser has to play the Front Man in my house. I regret buying this product.

I bought this guitar and I have a few things to say about it that are unfortunately negative.
1. My Starpower is on the fritz.
2. The buttons are akward and small.
3. The strap setup isn't like the one for the Xbox 360. After a short while, it gets uncomfortable to strum.
4. My strum bar came a little loose and is very squeaky.
5. The whammy bar hardly works.
It still works, but it's a last resort for me. A better investment is the wireless one that RedOctane made. There is no lag and its perfect in my opinion. I have still have yet to try out the Freedom V's though, I am hoping that those will be good. Happy rocking!

I have used this guitar for several months and am really enjoying it. It works well with Guitar Hero II and I am not missing a note. I have been able to get 100% of several songs at medium skill level.
The strummer button is quite responsive and the whammy bar also feels good.
Also, the frets feel good and responsive and don't feel cheap.
The wireless is very good, and I like that you can use 3 NiCad or NiMH batteries and the USB cable will charge them. I use NiCad that I had sitting around, and it takes about 6-8 hours to charge them through the USB cable. I have been able to play through 5-6 sessions of 2-3 hours (15 hours total?) without having to recharge. NiMH should get more play time. You can play wired or wirelessly, which is a bonus.
Overall, the Niko Frontman is a great product.

I have a wireless regular controller for PS2 and it occasionally losing the connection. In Guitar hero II, which is what I use this for, that would be disasterous, but it hasn't happened once in many hours of play. After at least 20 or so hours, I haven't noticed any slow down of the original batteries at all, I'm not even sure how far they'll go.
There is also a cord that you can play from USB (computer) power if you are out of batteries, although obviously that takes away the wireless aspect. the same cord can be used to charge rechargable (not included) batteries, if you so choose.
3 AAA Energizer batteries are included in the box. If I could change anything about it, I would have included stickers, but that's nominal.
This is a solid piece of equipment as far as I am concerned.
