I bought this thing because my brother-in-law had one and he said it was great for Tiger Woods Golf because the left joystick was so stiff it would deliver a perfect swing. I think what happened was he just ended up getting a one in a million controller that had a beneficial malfunction because the one I got sucked at it. The infra red wirless remote thing sucks too. My PS3 is in an entertainment center with an opague glass. The infra red receptor doesn't always pick up the signal through the opaque glass and I can't leave it open because I have a 3 year old daughter who doesn't realize the difference between a PS3 and a beachball yet (But she is still my Li'l Angel). In my opinion you'd be much better off sticking with the Sony wireless controller.

I already have two DualShock 3's; a black and a white one.
Bought from ebay before they made it officially here.
I thought that they would be enough.
I kept looking at the Nyco and thinking, meh no power on.
And yet, I decided to get it.
I believe that it was worth every cent.
Yes, the version I got HAS VIBRATION.
And with the new In-Game XMB, I can access all I need with it.
Besides, my PS3 Bluetooth DVD remote that sits on the coffee table can serve that (crucial) initial on; or I can walk (goodness :-) up to the PS3 and power up.
Truly the most important aspect of the Nyko is being a must for big, tall all whatever guys. I am 6'2" and around 200lbs.
The DualShocks (and the SixAxis before that) just don't feel as good in my hands as this one. More grippy, less slippery, easier for longer sessions. And all that translates to better gameplay; I was able to clear events that I was not able to with the DualShocks.
All I can say it, it's worth giving it a try; you may not be dissappointed;

i like this controller. it has good weight to it and is much bigger then the sixaxis.
my only complaint is that all of the print ads i have seen for it as well as nyko's product description on their website list this controller as having rumble. it doesnt. there is a tiny disclaimer on nyko's site saying that the next version will feature rumble but wont be released until late march/april. if i had known that i would have waited to buy one.
