Before I broke my that thing on my dock cable. And I have many friends who have Ipod shuffle, that have the same problem because they leave the dock cable in the computer but that thing that connects with the shuffle is very fragile and easy to break and this was my second time breaking it. So this helps me because instead of always charging it on the computer and leaving my computer on during the night, I can charge it right by my bedside and I don't have to worry about forgetting the dock cable and stepping on it. The thing I hate about it was when I first got it it was really hard to plug in my ipod shuffle and took probably 10 minutes for me to figure out which way to plug it in without breaking it lol

I bought this to charge my Ipod. The connection to the Ipod was very difficult to plug in the first few times.
My Power Bug broke after about 100 days. It has a 90 day warranty. I contacted the manufacturer, they said send it in, we'll make a "one time exception" and replace it even though it is out of warranty. I sent it in over a month ago and have not received it back from them. I would purchase a different charger, if I were to buy another one.

I'm so glad I bought this. My stupid iPod shuffle (1st Generation) sometimes doesn't show up in my iTunes when plugged into my computer, so at least this way, I can still charge it and use it.
The only thing is that there are no instructions. It's very easy to figure out, except the first time I used it, I had it connected wrong, so obviously, my iPod didn't charge. They could've at least included a picture (which they do with the 2nd gen. shuffle) b/c you connect each one differently. But once I figured it out, it charged very quickly. (you connect the 1st gen. shuffle directly to the adapter that goes in the outlet -- plugs in where the cord is for the 2nd gen. one).

We had purchased a shuffle for my mother who loves music, but doesn't have a computer. This A/C adapter allows her to keep her shuffle charged without bringing it to our house to use our computer. At first the adapter was difficult to plug into the shuffle, but after a few times it seemed to loosen up a bit to allow easy plug in.

A few months ago I needed to replace my broken shuffle dock. After trying the IncipioBud (which I didn't care for) I tried the PowerBug. So far, I adore it and have absolutely no complaints. However, considering the poor product description, it was more a lucky break than an informed decision.
As shown in the picture above, the PowerBug comes in two pieces: the little white charger unit (the "bug") and a usb cable that connects from the "bug" to the shuffle. This means your shuffle can be plugged into the wall and charged anywhere, anytime; it also means the usb cable can be removed from the "bug" and plugged into the computer, allowing your shuffle to be charged and synced in the standard manner.
So, no -- this isn't a stand-your-shuffle-up-on-it dock, but it will do the same job, as well as allowing it to be charged in a standard wall plug. Better yet -- at least for me -- the "bug" also seems to be compatible with the usb cable for my older video ipod, allowing me a lot of charging

After an accident I had to get a new dock for my Ipod but knew there were not many optioins. I looked at this one first for the main reason of having an A/C charger, which can really come in handy. I don't know what happened with the first guy, I had doubts at first but so far I have had my shuffle for almost a year and had no problems with it besides normal wear and tear so maybe something was wrong with his Ipod. The only difficult part about this product is that the jack that goes into the ipod has a surround to align it up properly which was a small struggle, about as much as getting it into the Apple dock. The cord actually longer by about a foot so it is a bit nicer. The price is in the same range too. First plug in was fully recognized as my Ipod and have been glad about the purchase ever since!

I was in need of a new dock, because when I moved I forgot where I put my other one. I was a little weary when I went to Best Buy to get a new dock after I found out they don't have any that Apple makes. I had read the first review saying that it didn't work, and since I had no choice I picked it up anyways. I had always had success with any accessory when hooked up to my Mac so I hoped this would be a success also...... To my great surprise it worked. Easy as pie. Plugged it into my Mac and then to the shuffle and it was all good. I don't know if the other reviewer used a pc instead or had a defective power bug but I had no problems.

I purchased this product to replace a broken iPod shuffle dock. The packaging for the DLO Power Bug expressly states that it functions as a sync/dock cable.
Unfortunately, this product does not work as advertised. It did not recognize the ipod shuffle device despite attempts to reboot, update the software, and reset the ipod.
Before returning the DLO Power Bug, I purchased a replacement shuffle dock from Apple. As soon as I connected the device to the Apple dock, my computer recognized it as an iPod immediately. Long story short, this product will not work as a dock cable.

This item is a compact way to charge your shuffle on the go! It more than double the price at BB, and at other stores, so this is a great price. It fits in the palm of your hand.
