Let me preface my review by saying, if there were an option for 4.5 stars, I would definitely rate it as such. The reason is not because the product doesn't perform as specified, or as other customers have stated, rather, my rating is based on two factors.
1) The system may be too loud for an office. Right now, I have it playing solo piano music at the lowest possible volume and I am unsure whether others in offices next to mine can hear it.
2) Troubleshooting: I had problems getting mine set up. I have a 5G iPod (video) and I couldn't get it to work with the system. I first referred to the manual, but it is absolutely useless. If you're clear on the symbols for power and volume, you can go ahead and toss that out the minute you open the box. I then called customer support (twice). They picked up on the first ring both times (definite plus). However, their troubleshooting "experts" had no knowledge about the product. They didn't even know what color the light was supposed

This is a perfect speaker system for the ipod. The sound is loud and when it's in use it has a small pretty blue light. The remote is nice too. Only could have been improved by being portable with batteries. The design is very stylish.

Received my Eton Sound 50 for my iPod last week. Love the remote control! Great to MUTE when the phone rings! Sound is excellent even when I "cranked" it up...
