My wireless adapter on my laptop stopped working and I bought a linksys adapter but it was this size of a long flashdrive. This netgear is small and works beautifully all over my 3600 sq ft home.

The internal wireless card on a laptop had failed, so I bought this as a replacement. I wanted something small, so I could leave it plugged in all the time. It works as advertised, connecting at 150Mbs. I have had it for several weeks with no issues.

This is great if you want to browse the internet, but for anything else, look elsewhere. If you want to game online on pc, or download/upload huge files quickly you will want to either go with ethernet cable (best, fastest, cheapest, easiest), or powerline, or really fast wifi adapter (600-900mbps)

The NETGEAR - Wireless-N USB Micro Adapter is small &amp; convenient (simply plug it into a USB port) and maintains a strong connection with our home network. Highly reliable - once installed you don't have to think about it.<br />The set-up during installation asked a few questions that I wasn't certain how to answer, but it was easy to guess the right answer &amp; complete the installation. I bought this adaptor for my kids laptop to boost the wireless signal. The internal wireless card was too weak and it lost internet access in other parts of the house. This adaptor gives a strong signal no matter where the laptop is in our two story home.

I got this for my wife who is a stay at home mommy. We have a Refurbished laptop that the WiFi never worked very well on and she ended up using a 50 foot ethernet cable with the laptop on the couch. However our little 8month old monster would seek out the cable and unplug it from the laptop or find where it was run along the wall and behind book shelfs and pull and chew on it.
