Wii Sports Accessory Pack (remote sold separately)

the remote to navigate thru the options in the actual sports game, but this does not work in the Wii menu.

As one of the previous reviewers pointed out, it is indeed just regular plastic. Don't expect any nice rubber grips on the end like you'd get with a real tennis racket / golf club. As such, it may indeed become a bit slippery once your hands starts sweating. That is most likely the reason Nintendo is supplying a wrist strap with these attachements.

And talking about that wrist strap, I found it very cumbersome to slip a wiimote with wrist strap into this attachement . I ended up removing the wrist strap from the actual wiimote and only use the one on the plastic base. In addition, I noticed the wrist straps were very thin, almost identical to ones that had been recalled so I choose to play it safe and use the thicker straps from my wiimote. (I wonder if Nintendo knows about this)

However, with all of that said, I must admit my little nieces and nephews were having a lot of fun with them. It just adds an extra dimension to the already exciting Wii game play. Yes, it is somewhat cheap looking, but then again, it only costed 25 bucks.

Would I recommend this product to a friend? Well, that all depends. If that friend wants to buy it for his kids --yes, I would. However, if this is a friend that likes to play with the Wii him/herself -- then probably not. In short, great for kids, less great for adults!
