I was in the market for 5.1 headphones, and found these Turtle Beach X52s.
First, they are big. I was using behind the head earphones, and compared to that, the X52s are bulky. But that doesn't mean they are not comfortable, because they are...you hardly notice them.
Once I got the settings correct, the sound from rFactor came alive! The surround sound is def. a great addition to these headsets. The mic is also great, sensitive to pick up your voice, but not other noises.
Music is good in these headphones too, but not the greatest. I didn't buy them for music though, as I use them for gaming.
If you are looking for 5.1 headphones and don't want to break the bank, give the X52 a try. You will be very happy with them.

I had this headset for a little over 3 months. I loved the sound quality, the surround sound reproduction was great, and it had great bass and highs. They were comfortable and the microphone was great. After the 3 months however, the plastic that holds the speaker to the headband broke leaving them unwearable and not repairable by tape either. I looked and the other side was showing cracks as well. Good sound, bad materials. I took care of them, never dropped them, was never rough with them.
