I think I'm not the only one with the issue of needing a lot of storage for my files – media, various archives, even work documents. This device is excellent for my needs. It's compact, quiet, the design is easy on the eye and all around it's a good quality unit. I'm particularly pleased with the USB 3.0 speed!

This drive works well, it's quiet and doesn't slow down, even when processing demanding tasks. I've set it up in a matter of minutes. The backup software was easy to configure too. The unit works like a charm. No issues to report so far.

I specifically wanted a Firewire 400 port, which was clearly listed as present on this product, but it did NOT have one. Tech offered to pay for return shipment, but I bought a USB 3.0 card instead, which I highly recommend for the speed. Glad I upgraded from slow firewire.

As a party DJ I have a massive music collection – lots of high-resolution music files and pre-prepared mixes. I store all my backup files and music on my Lacie and just copy them across for when I'm doing a live gig. The 2 TB of storage is huge, and the USB 3.0 connection is super-fast.

We use the d2 at our studio, as a simple centralized storage for several of our workstations. We are very happy with its performance. The capacity is good and the USB3.0 speed rocks! The drive is stylish and does exactly what it is supposed to do!

I'm very happy with this drive. I have two of them, mounted on a rack and they work wonderfully. The quality is excellent and the transfer speeds are great for editing videos. The drive comes with all the necessary cables and backup software. It's fairly quiet as it doesn't have a fan. Instead, it uses the metal case to dissipate heat. Overall, it's worth the money.

Since I work on several machines I needed a universal external drive that I could easily connect to anything. Out of the box d2 Quadra worked really well. I powered it up, connected to my computer, followed the setup guide, and it was good to go. It runs pretty cool, and it's virtually silent.
