One of the nagging problems of the Sims 2 series has been the lack of a strong feeling of time passing. While you could watch your sims age, the only real impression of time going by that I've ever gotten is my own frequent glances toward the age bars to see how much time each sim would have left in their current life phase.
Separate from the many wonderful features that have been added to the game, the real golden improvement is the immense amount of atmosphere that the weather provides. It hadn't occurred to me before I started playing that something as simple as snow on the ground would change the feeling of the game so much. There's a distinct coziness in having your sims sit inside in front of the fire on a snowy winter day that was never present in the previous eternal summer. It also creates a feeling of time moving on for the entire lot as a whole, without depending on any kind of nagging need to check whether the teen is going to have to leave for college soon, or similar

I have been waiting for this expansion pack to be out for ages. Being slightly disappointed with Pets, I was a little wary about it, but it turns out it is just awesome. The graphics are great and bring a whole new aspect to the Sims2. Each season has its own special twist, for example, you learn faster in the fall; and there are wonderful interactions associated with each season. I also enjoyed the option of being able to grow and harvest veggies. All around, this is the best that has come out of the Sims 2.

Now that I've played Sims 2 with seasons, I can't play it without. I recently changed computers and had to load Sims 2 on it. I tried playing it without the expansion packs, to see if I really needed them after all, and within twenty minutes I felt like something was missing and had to add on some of them--seasons being the first. It makes the game feel more realistic, and I love all the new clothing options that came with it. I have purchased all of the expansion packs, but I didn't feel the need to install them all on my new computer. After playing the game with seasons, it just didn't feel right without it. In my opinion a worthwhile buy and addition to your Sims experience.

So the Sims 2 Seasons has a lost of awesome new stuff. You can check the forcast on the TV or newspaper! It's like so totally sweet. They have new hairstyles and you get to have outerwear! I mean who wouldn't love this game? In the winter, you can make snowmen or make snowangels. But you have to be careful because if you don't wear warm clothes or your outerwear outside, you could catch a cold. It rains, snows, and even hails! This is one of my FAVORITE expansion packs out of all of them. If I could rate the fun higher, I would have rated it TEN STARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay, I got this for Christmas (yeah, a long time ago) and I LOVEEEE IT!
Playing in the snow, fishing, raking the leaves, sometimes setting them on fire and having summer heated barbecues are just some of the amazing things you can do.
The graphics are the most realistic ever!
You can have rain, sleet, hail, snow and sometimes (only happened once in 6 months) a sun shower. :)
Negatively, I don't know how but when I moved out a given family and moved mine in (they had a nice house) the weather, not season got stuck. And it was snow. I would look at the meter saying the season and it would move but the snow stayed on the ground.
ALSO, after a while it gets a little boring but thats what all the other amazing expansion packs are for! =]
I also recommend using
canyourunit.com
before buying the game.
Even though it's cheap, I wouldn't waste 20 bucks if it wont work.
In all, you should definitely buy the game! The Sims 2 is utterly amazing!
