The unit was received promptly, but DOA. (Not the fault of Amazon). The Amazon customer service was helpful, but Amazon did not have a replacement unit. So they sent the paperwork to return it for full credit.
Out of four Magellan GPS units I purchased in November and December, three were defective. I've make numerous calls to Magellan customer service, but the language barrier with their team in India makes then impossible to understand. It is not their fault... but the fault of Magellan USA to outsource their technical/customer service.
So far, the one remaining Magellan 760 is working; but even with the latest mapping software, is out of date. (Q204).
I replaced the other units with non-Magellan systems. Magellan's loss.
My overall expereice with Amazon is great, but Magellan scores an F.

I own a roadmate 700 and have upgraded the software to a 760. I contacted Magellan and they walked me through the install step by step. Needless to say I was quite please with their courteous service. This is my first GPS and I am quite pleased with it. It's multiple routing options is a plus and I veered of course on purpose and it took me back to my route with no problems. The POI feature is great along with the various configuration options. I am going to purchase an external antenna as at times it takes a while to pick up the satellites. Installing the external antenna is simple. You just remove the internal and plug the external antenna in the same plug. All in all I am quite pleased with this unit. P.S. - with some careful shopping you can find an external antenna in the $20 to $25 range. Enjoy you Roadmate, everyone!
