iVoice iPod Dock Sound System
I read all the reviews for this product and decided to puchase based on those reviews. I also have a Bose docking sound system and I would say the Athena is a great buy for 1/4 the price of the Bose. The Athena does not have that thumping base sound which is why I like it. The sound is clear and with the volume up, you would think the muscians were right in the room with you. Great buy. Received quickly. Just as advertised and reviewed. I recommend highly.

You can't loose with this unit - it doesn't take up too much shelf space, charges your ipod, works on remote, can be used while connecting a USB out to your computer for tweeking playlists on iTunes, has excellent sound quality (and trust me, I've gone through a lot of speaker sets that didn't work out), and has a great video out feature to your TV for showing photos at parties while the music plays. I love this box...and got it on sale for $49.88 - you can't go wrong for that money.

I chose this product because it had good reviews in regards to sound quality. Now that I have had it for almost a month, I am becoming aware of its shortcomings.

First, it was designed for the taller iPods. With the newer, shorter Nanos, removing the iPods from the dock is a challenge. Whereas owners of the taller iPods could grab the top with their fingers and pull, new iPod owners must get their fingers behind the iPod, wiggle, and coerce it out of the dock. You will see in all the photos they have older iPods in the units that extend beyond the top of the docking system. Wiggling out the Pod cannot be good for it. I don't like the wear and tear this could have on the iPod's connection port. Other docking systems that I see allow the iPod to dock on a flush surface, so regardless of the size of the iPod, the user can just grab it and pull it out. (Even putting the iPod in is probably easier on other models.)

Second, I cannot get the video to work by plugging the system into the tv.
