The xbox 360 glow stand with fan is a great product if your looking for something to keep your 360 cool without the risk of burning it out(like other products)because it draws its power from a seperate ac adapter thats included(which is a plus). The only problems i have are its noisy(imagine the fan sound from your 360x2) and it takes some of the wireless fun out of the 360. Its great that you can turn on your 360 with the remote(so you don't have to get off your couch or out of your bed) but it begins to be quite a hassle when you have to get up to turn your Xbox 360 Glow Stand with Fan on and off(remotes anyone).Also the glowing lights are worthless (plus they don't match the color of the 360) and they should've been replace with something that actually serves a purpose like controller cradles. In closing the Xbox 360 Glow Stand with Fan is great at what it does (cooling) especially when compared to other products, but there's always room for improvement.

The fan speed isn't of a high RPM, so it's relatively quiet. More importantly, it doesn't draw power via USB from the XBOX 360 unit to contribute to the heat generation. The base is sturdy, and lifted about 0.5cm off the ground to maintain a healthy air-flow to the base fans.
But I highly recommend getting the Xbox 360 Nyko Intercooler to assist in the air flow - glow fan bring air in from the base, and the Nyko Intercooler blows air out of the console.
Also, the green glow it provides in the dark certain gives a 'wow' factor...

This was one of the best items I have gotten in a LONG TIME. It really saved my Xbox360 from overheating. PERIOD, and the green glow is awesome!! LOVE IT

I purchased this product quite a while already and below are my general impression.
Pros.
1. Cool Design. The glowing green light on each side of the base looks perfect match to the console green theme.
2. A good source of light if you are playing in the dark.
3. External power supply so won't damage to your ocnsole whatsoever.
Cons.
1. EXTREMELY loud & noisy. It is even louder than the console's disc-spinning noise.
2. No obvious improvement on the well-known high-temp issue of XBOX 360. I use physical testing by placing my hand on the side of the console. The temp is more-or-less the same before I use this cooling fan. I am living in Las Vegas area, the temp in summer can be constantly over 100F. The fan may prove itself in summer time...i am not sure about that. But in general condition, I don't see any changes.

The Glow Stand Fan is a great accessory, one perhaps every XBox 360 user should not be without considering all of the heat issues the console has. I haven't used the other products that are out there, especially the Nyko due to users commenting that it melts onto the 360 and voids the warranty. Thus I can't compare the Glow Stand with others but this product is excellent. During my Oblivion marathons the air coming out of the back isn't quite so hot so to me that's reassurance that the Glow Stand is doing its job. The fans are relatively quiet-- as someone else already stated they're no louder than the 360's fans. The lights are pretty ambiguous; however, they do make it look a little bit more cool when they're on, and they act as a nice reminder that the product is still on so you don't have to worry about forgetting to turn it off. Yes, you have to actually turn it off and on yourself, but if you're incapable of flipping a little switch then what are you doing playing video games

This is a great product. Our 360 Would get very hot after just an hour of play time. Now we can play for over 5 hours and it never gets too hot. The green glow is pretty cool and does not distract us from playing the game. The only thing that could be improved are how loud the fans are. They are not so loud they distract you from your play, but they aren't quiet. I would recommend this product to anyone and everyone who owns an Xbox 360. I am so happy we got it!

The stand is nicer than I expected.
The LED are brighter than the ad looks.
My unit is quiet enough.
It makes a gentle whirring noise, less than the bubbles in my fish tank.
You must use a cooler that has it's own power supply.
This one does, and not many do.
It is cheap enough, so I tried it.
It does look cool, the chome front is a nice touch.
Honestly, just a gentle fan makes a world of difference in cooling.
If you want something cheap and simple, you could use a $10 10 inch fan.
It also keeps the 360 from falling over.
About the fan startup problem and switch in the back.
Here is a hint.
Don't turn it off!
This will save the fans life and keep them running quiet.
Besides, this is a way cool nightlight!
My wife calls it my stupid Xbox monument!

I have tried the Pelican fan stand, but the fan is weak and not as effective, plus it steals power from the 360, and results in crashes. I've never tried the Nyko intercooler, but it has terrible reviews due to the same issue of it stealing power from the 360 and causing huge damage to the sytems. But this Intec XBOX 360 Glow Stand with Fan is amazing and stands out because it DRAWS ITS OWN POWER FROM AN OUTLET, NOT THE 360.
First, it has two fans with its own power adapter you plug into an outlet, whereas other third party cooling solutions plug directly into the 360 and steal power. This allows the stand to have even more power and is able to support the 2 powerful fans unlike the flimsy little pinwheel in the Pelican fan stand. This also means that it is completely independent from your console and will not cause it to have problems in any way due to power shortage.

I have had every fan stand that you can find for the 360 so far and this is by far the best. It is the quietest and smallest. Does keep my system extremely cool but again is the quietest. It also does not connect via USB but through an AC adapter so it doesn't steal power from your 360.
It also doesn't obstruct the intercooler so they can work together.
*EDIT* Per another users request here is additional information. I hope this helps more.
I tried it without the intercooler and I also tried one of my other fans without the intercooler for you and from what I can tell the 360 casing is noticeable cooler with this stand. The casing normally gets extremely warm along with the air that is being sent out. With this stand (with the intercooler its better) alone the air itself from what I can tell is much cooler. I keep my 360 in an open area by my TV and since its winter the heater blows on the 360 so I find these cooling devices essential.
It also doesn't obstruct the intercooler so they can work together.
