I purchased this stand to hold my new Sony 46" LCD set. It's very attractive to look at in the store, and with some planning and work, it will look very good in your home.
It's easy to assemble - all except the final step, mounting the glass shelves. The bottom shelf fits into the frame with no problem. The top shelf gets guided by pins into holes in the frame. In order to get the middle shelf centered, it takes two people and a good eye or a ruler. If even slightly off-center, it looks funny. It's hard to adjust it by a quarter of an inch, and it took us several tries. You can't just slide the shelf, it's held in place by two suction cups, and they're a pain in the neck to disengage then re-engage. I think I'd have given this 5 stars but for that design element (I'm tempted to say "flaw").
The electronics that I placed on the middle shelf fit perfectly, but you need to make sure yours do, too. Use a tape measure in the store. My audio receiver (17"), DVD changer/cable box stack
