ArmorLite Case (Nintendo DS Lite)
I've had a couple friends ruin their handhelds, they get scratched and dropped and easily broken. So I made sure when I bought my DS to get screen protectors, a case and this shell.
This is a great shell, it fits the DS Lite really nicely and stays clipped on, I've had it since I got the DS so now I dont really even notice it's there.
Because the hinge on the shell is lined up directly with the hinge on the DS it opens and closes nicely.
It will add about 6mm thickness to the width and height of the DS Lite so if you already own a case that the DSL fits snugly inside it may not fit as well after adding the shell.
It also leaves a tiny (about 1mm) gap when the unit is closed due to the clips that hold the DSL into the shell. But unless you're pouring sand on the unit I dont see this as a big issue.
All of the buttons and ports are left open for access and I have no problems using the DS with the shell on, the stylus is still easy to remove and all other ports in the shell are well designed

ArmorLite Case (Nintendo DS Lite)
Our children got for Christmas their so wished DS's, and what better than to protect these against scratches and dirt than a nice transparent case? This case looks like part of the DS. When we received it, we thought that it could be broken if hit hard enough (it is made of that kind of plastic that looks like the ones which cd cases are made of), and even my husband told me "hey, the little case hinges will get broken if it falls". But what happened? Of course, only a bit more than 24 hours from the time our children received their DS's in their cases, and we already lost count of the times they have accidentaly dropped them. The cases are perfect still, and if put in the right angle you can see the light through the window reflecting on them, showing just how many dirt stains they have manage to keep away from the toys, and how easy they will come of, just with a paper napkin... Maybe the case gets stronger and absorbs impacts, when filled with the body of the DS, but whatever it is,

I like the clear protective cover for my Nintendo DS Lite. I have a pink one and bought my husband the metallic red & black edition. I like that we can play a game against each other. I will probably buy him one of these covers to keep his metallic finish from getting scratched up.

ArmorLite Case (Nintendo DS Lite)
I just got the Metallic Rose DS Lite and was trying to find a case with the best protection but not covering the beautiful color of my DS Lite. I searched on Youtube and found an unboxing video of armor lite case and I decided to get it. The case is in nice quality, not something cheap plastic that easily scratches. The installation is easy, just push the DS into the bottom and then close both DS and the case, push a little bit to fit everything together. You may want to clean your DS with Dust-off before you install. It fits well to the console. I have been playing, opening and closing for a day and did not observed any gaps or loosing parts between the case and the console.
One thing is that when you close the case, your console has an ~1 mm gap in between. You can try to use sand paper to make it close more. This is the only small thing that I don't like about this product, but it doesn't hurt.

ArmorLite Case (Nintendo DS Lite)
I have been using this for a week or so on a black and red ds lite. The case is completely clear and shows off my ds well. Playing the ds with the case on feels the same to me. None of the ports are blocked. I don't use my carry case any more but the ds still fits it with this armor case on. So far it hasn't gotten scratched. The case also seems to not pick up finger prints and I have oily skin. All in all a pretty good case.

I have to say this is the best protective product for your ds on the market. The pouch/bag is way too bulky; the silicon tube doesn't stay on tight enough; and the adhesive filter peels off after some time. But this plastic shell does its job of protecting the outside of your ds while perfectly maintaining its stylish sheen. The only thing I have to complain is that the clasp on the edge of the screen prevents the ds from fully closing up. The widest gap is about 2mm.
