Samsung PN59D6500 59-Inch 1080p 600 Hz 3D Plasma HDTV (Black) [2011 MODEL]
Pros: everything
Cons: nothing
I was kind of forced in a way into buying this tv. You see, I had purchased a Samsung 58" plasma 500 class about a month ago. We had company over one day and my 3 year son decided to throw a matchbox car at the screen which inevitably cracked it and the tv was no more. Unfortunately had to shop around for a new tv. Fortunately found and bought this tv. First of all, the price was about $300 off the original. Second of all, it came with the 3d starter kit which retails for $499. Great deal! could not pass up.

Samsung PN59D6500 59-Inch 1080p 600 Hz 3D Plasma HDTV (Black) [2011 MODEL]
Pros: PICTURE, PICTURE, PICTURE!!!!
Cons: Built in speakers are just o.k.
So I walked in to buy a subwoofer cable, and walked out with this TV. I wanted to upgrade from my 50" Pioneer that I was quite happy with, but wanted more real estate. I am NOT a fan of LCD TV's (including LED) due to fact you have to pay an arm and a leg to get a 240Hz, that STILL pixelates vs. almost half the cost for a 600Hz plasma!
The TV itself is simply amazing! Deep black's, minimal heat, and simply the BEST picture I have ever seen! I was not a fan of 3D, but since it was on this TV, what the heck. Now I have to admit - the 3d is pretty awesome! It blows away 3D movies at the theater. The depth of the TV comes darn close to that of the LCD's.
The TV is easy to set up and get running and immediately connected to the internet. Samsung is hands down the best TV manufacturer (especially since Pioneer quit making them). I hooked it up to my Samsung Blu-Ray 3D player, and all I can say is phenomenal picture!!!
The only cons I can come up with is; while watching 3D, some dark scenes are hard to pick up, but it has to do with the active 3D glasses, not the TV. Also, the speakers built into the TV aren't the best, but I wasn't concerned since it was going into my media room.
Trust me, you will NOT be disappointed with this TV, simply amazing!

Samsung PN59D6500 59-Inch 1080p 600 Hz 3D Plasma HDTV (Black) [2011 MODEL]
Pros: Picture quality, features, design/looks, size, price.
Cons: Permanently attached power cable.
Amazing television for the price. I've had this just about a month now (got it right when it came out). The picture is the best I've seen, and in my house I have both LCD, and LED-LCD televisions. The picture on this plasma puts them to shame.

Samsung PN59D6500 59-Inch 1080p 600 Hz 3D Plasma HDTV (Black) [2011 MODEL]
Pros: picture, size, features
Cons: not backwards compatible with 2010 3d glasses
Pros
This TV is beautiful. Its slim and if not mounted has an appealing stand. I would recommend this TV to anyone. The picture is crisp in 3d. I replaced a 65 inch 3d DLP tv. This TV is much clearer and makes my room look much bigger. This TV is even better than my LCD/LED Samsung 3d TV. New plasma TV's have huge life spans. They should last 27 years at 10 hours per day.

First let me just say I have only had the tv for 3 days. The picture is great. The 3D is excellent. Even the 2D-3D is pretty good. It has built in wifi. That surprised me. Even the sound is good. I would say so far this is defiantly a Best buy best buy. The bad so far none

Samsung PN59D6500 59-Inch 1080p 600 Hz 3D Plasma HDTV (Black) [2011 MODEL]
Pros: everything
were should i start ive been looking on the net for reviews on this tv there isnt very many so i thought i would put in my opinion first off i wanted a tv that was good for gaming it does have a gaming mode but dont even use it no lag what so ever on it and ive played it serveral times on call of duty so easy to see guys and color is the best ive ever seen the internet works very well wifi ready no wires which i love it has more options to customize your picture my favorite thing is how slim it is its slimmer than most 2010 model led's but it has a more natural picture with plasma. i bought the 3d glasses when i got this and tried it out the first got the tv and it is very good no ghosting or anything its the best ive seen in store i love it so far no problems and i play call of duty all the time not even worried about burn in it seems to be very rare now days to get burn in this is a very good tv overall i hope i could help anyone trying to make up there mind

Samsung PN59D6500 59-Inch 1080p 600 Hz 3D Plasma HDTV (Black) [2011 MODEL]
Pros: Picture, Design, Free 3d Starter Kit
Cons: Price should be around 2k
I was a die hard LED owner and I never thought I would ever consider purchasing a plasma. However over 95% of the LED LCD TVs on the market today use cheap LED edge lighting.
