Pros: Easy to set up, nice shape
Cons: Not the cheapest
I wanted to replace an older Netgear router that failed and followed others' online recommendations to buy this one. It turns out that my average download speed was improved by more than 2x thanks to less interference with my neighbors in my densely populated area. This router automatically emits in the channel range with least competition, and this means I now surf around 18MBPs when previously the maximum was 9MBPs. The router also allows for connections via a/b/g wireless signals for Wi-Fi devices like iPods, while n signals are used for laptops or desktops. It creates automatically a guest network with its own password that is kept separate from your home network. Everything can be customized (passwords, channels used, etc...). The setup was easy, as you are immediately able to access the internet as soon as you plug it in, and it guides you to download appropriate software (in my case, for Mac OS), without the need for the installation CD. I have not had a problem for the 6-8 weeks that I have been using it.
