On the Wii, you can use points to purchase games from their online store. One dollar buys you 100 points. I wonder why anyone would want to spend an extra $5 for $20 worth of points. You cannot use these points unless your Wii is connected to the internet and if you are, you can buy the points directly from Nintendo. Save your money, buy your points online. The only excuse for buying this card is to give it as a gift. Even so, I think you are better off giving them the $20 bucks and letting them buy the points online.

I love the Wii Points Card for the virtual console store. It's an unbeatable price : 2000 points for $20 USD. This makes most Nintendo NES System games $5 USD/500 Points, most Super Nintendo and Sega Genesis for 800 points/$8 USD which is a lot less than they originally were in the 80's and 90's. The only problem : It only comes in sets of 2000 points. A 1000, 2500 point or 3000 point card could come in handy for me. Anyways, the Wii Points card is a great alternate to using a credit card.

You would be paying $30 for $20 worth of Wii points. Just buy the normal $20 card, or purchase the same number of points with your credit card on the Wii shop channel.
