I should preface this review with the statement that the assessment I'm giving is for the aid of the average, uninitiated potential player. I agree with the previous assessor that for players of the Marvel Trading Card Game, the game will likely hold some interest. Those people, however, are not the people that I'm interested, because they're going to buy this game ANYWAY just to get the online play, and because, you know, they like the game.
Examining this software as a game, irrespective of its built-in fan base, it's really pretty below average in a lot of respects. For a portable console like the PSP, quick, enjoyable play experiences are the rule, and that's just not what you get out of this game. That's its biggest problem. It's virtually impossible to play through a game against the computer in less than twenty to thirty minutes, and in some cases (special rules requiring two consecutive victories, etc.) the duration of a single "encounter" can stretch well beyond an hour.

All you do is look at marvel charcters, there is nothing to do in this game....it is pointless it should be sold for like 50cents!? Maybe even less! You can't do anything in the game. Plus all of them arn't even in there. Ii went by superman 5 times in 1 minute. I wouldn't reccomend this game to anyone. *Whisper* Don't buy it it stinks!

Perhaps you've seen the reviews from professional game critics, and you've seen this game is getting about a 6.x out of 10. That doesn't paint a very pretty picture for this game, nor would I call it an accurate review. Everyone seems to agree that this game will not lure anyone who doesn't play the Marvel TCG to want to play it, thus it gets a less-than-desirable score. That may be true, but for those who do already play it, this game is alot of fun.
The game gives players of the Marvel TCG pretty much what they'd want. There's a 2 single player campaigns, Hero and Villain. They seem to be pretty lengthy campaigns, especially when each game will take you between 15-20 minutes to complete. Victory will give you points to buy more cards you can use to customize your deck(s). There's also online multiplayer, which to me, is where the real treat is in this game. Simply put, if you like the Marvel TCG, you'll like this game.
There are tutorials for those who haven't. They're somewhat
