Great Product - Slight Defect

Well I already owned one of these units and I was very impressed and that is what lead me to this purchase. The price was better than I could find in a store, however the unit has a slight defect. Everything works like its suppose to except for the X - Button. The X - Button does not respond correctly and the game that I would be playing would be constantly pressing the X - Button for me. I took the unit apart to see the deal and found that the pad that the buttons press upon was ripped below the X - Button and would get stuck. I attempted to make a repair myself and it works better now, but it still isn't quite like its suppose to be. Outside of that, the Logitech cordless controller is the best one on the market. By far!

Lesson learned

I purchased two cordless PS2 controllers for my grandson's. One of the controllers buttons were sticking from the get-go and unusable. In the craziness of opening presents christmas morning, the return info/documentation was thrown away by Mom and Dad.

Lesson: Nana keeps the documentation so any items needing to be sent back can be!

I'm sure Overstock would have replaced the item, I've never had any trouble.

I knew it was a refurb, but...

Product works just fine and was a good value. I realized I was purchasing a refurbished item but they could have cleaned it up- there was gunk on the bottom of the controller surrounding the label- like from frequent handling by dirty hands. Eyeew. I took a q-tip dipped in alcohol to it to try and remove it. Honestly, is it to much to expect that they clean the item?
