Santa brought this for my kids ages 6 and 7. It keeps them very entertained. The best thing of all is I don't have to buy a real dog! At least not for now. They are both up to 3 dogs in which they "play" with, walk, train etc. We have bought a 2nd Nintendogs so now they can visit each other and exchange messages (pictochat). I saw a report on the news warning parents about the bluetooth capabilites and how anyone within a certain distance can send messages to your kids through the DS Lite so use caution.

for me( a first grader)nintendogs is fun, i have 6 dogs 1 labrador 1 shiba inu 1 poodle 1 pug 1 miniature schnauzer 1 corgi, of course i did not get them in this order, first the poodle then the corgi then the miniature schnauzer then the shiba inu then the pug then the labrador i have only these but i will continue buying dogs, it is hard to keep them fed and make them have a walk each day!it is hard too to earn money ,or in a contest or you sell stuff in the second hand shop i am a waiting till i find the fire man hat so i can get my favorite breed the dalmatian! the contests are:the disk trial the agility trial the obidience trial and no more trials. the agility trial is supposed to be the hardest, but for me it is the easiest the other 2 are the hardest for me!!!

This prouduct CANNOT be for real, nintendo, you put 0 effort in to this game, I fell into this trap by their melt-your-heart graphics, but once you play it, which only connsistes of limmited, limmeted, and more limmeted, [I'll tell you why later,] you realize that doen't matter, this game is trash! worthless! Get out there in our would of flesh and blood, dropp that DS! If you are an insane animal lover like me, volenteer at your local shelter, do something that makes you feel pssonate, nintedo, you flopped! This is all you can do in the ''game''
1# Pet your dog
2# Buy hideous acsessories
3# Take you dog to a commpotision 3 tries a day? Seriously???
4# Walk the thing, and wait for it to want to go again, which took my dog up to 2 hr.s!
5# Refill it's bowl and wash HIM\HER. Whopie.
6# Wait. wait untll tommarow so you can enter in a comoptision, wait 2 hours to go on a walk, wait, wait forever so you can be bored out of your skukll. You'll find yourself growing bored whitin 5 minutes,

Great for young kids, especially if you are thinking of getting a dog. the training was similar to the patience required training a read dog. great graphics and impressive touch screen capabilities.

This is the first game my daughter asked for when she upgraded to the DS. She has had it for over a month and now has four dogs in the game. So far she is not showing any sign of getting tired of it. Her friends have other versions of Nintendogs and they often link their systems and let their dogs play together. I think she's enjoying this game as much as any game she has ever had.

Well, it was a bit of a hassle getting it to my grandson who lives a 1000 miles away, because of the Christmas rush and demand, so he received Nintendogs Lab after Christmas, and it was the one gift he really really wanted! He is nine and a half and LOVES this game! My son, his father, says he has worked up to 6 dogs and has them do tricks as sit, lie down, fetch, etc. My grandson recently told me, however, he's cut back to 4 dogs as that number is easier to keep. Even three months after receiving Nintendogs Labrador he still loves the game and has not grown tired of it. I know absolutely nothing about it, never have seen it, only know what my son and grandson tell me. My grandson is quite easy to please, but rarely gets this enthusiastic about a gift given. He would rate this game 5 stars for both fun and overall. It appeals to him in both entertainment value and intellectual stimulation. I not sure how happy I am with children glued to little "Gameboys," as our 4 year old granddaughter

My nine-year-old daughter has played this game everyday since she got it (Christmas 06). All of her friends have it, so they are able to exchange dog breeds, and accessories. She says she'd give this game 60 stars!

My daughter who is 6 loves this game. She has learned how to feed her dog and play with it. This allows her to learn responsibility and it's fun at the same time.
