Celestron UpClose 10-30x50 Binocular
I've had these for some time now and they were not right from day one. They were okay at 10X but as soon as you zoomed, double vision occurred. I saw through the other one star reviews it was more than half the original cost to send tham back so I opted to just use them 10X. Recently I started to look for a fix online and found a so-so one on YouTube but a comment in Amazon to one of the one-star reviews gave me a link and I was able to fix the binoculars myself... woo woo! Here it is: [...] The little adjustment screws are just under the rubber armor as shown in the picture. There is no need to take anything apart. You will need a sturdy micro flat blade screwdriver. The screws are hard to get started as they were probably glued and I would suggest a little nail polish over their tops when you get them adjusted... good luck to who have this issue!

These budget priced binoculars are great for the money. As with all zoom optics you can't expect the same quality vision compared to fixed lens models. I reckon the optical quality at base 10x is excellent all the same and is quite good up to about 18x, but tails off up to max magnification of 30x. We already have a pair of Bushnell powerview 16x which my wife uses and I was quite surprised to find the Celestrons to be so close in optical quality. OK the downsides, not many but purple fringing (chromatic aberation) can be quite noticeable when viewing contrasty images. The plastic case is dead cheap and the lanyard is lirttle more than a shoelace. What can you expect for bucks? It's a steal.

Item was defective, right side does not focus, original box and everything looks fine but right side does not work, even looking only thru the well working side (left) it has a very poor quality image, using the zoom in full (30x) image loos like when viewing thru the bottom of a glass bottle. This binoculars are a good option to waste your money. The wrost binoculars I have ever try.

adjusts focus readily. clarity is good for the price spent. need to hold camera very steady at higher magnifications.

I purchased these from Amazon directly, and had to send the first pair back for a replacement pair. Great job AMAZON!!! I got my replacements before I even returned the first pair, without a double charge to my credit card, and all done "on line" with a free shipping label sent to me via email. The first pair had what looked like a string hanging down in the "right ocular". The main problem with these binoculars is that they have to be constantly re-focused when transitioning from one power to the next. I also own a pair of Nikon 10-22x50 variable binoculars. You don't have to do that with the Nikon's. These are good as back ups to keep in the truck, for general use spotting game, but I would never take/rely on them as my only set of binoculars for glassing for game on a serious/expensive hunt in the back woods. Also, the carrying case is kind of "cheesy" made of some kind of synthetic "fabric/canvas". These remind me of the first set of binoculars my Dad bought me for a Christmas Stocking Stuffer one year. They would make a nice set of "beginner binoculars" for a younger person...but they are just not up to professional standards for use by a serious minded sportsman. None the less, for $39 plus free shipping from Amazon you can't go wrong, but if I only had the money to spend on one pair of binoculars, I would save it and buy the Nikon brand.
