Celestron Outland 10X42 Waterproof Binoculars with Rubber Coating & Comfort Grip
This is my very first binocular and I was looking forward to buying some for a long time. It took me a while to choose this one and I was very exited when I received my package delivered at home. But after opening the box I realized two things: - The cap protecting the front optics is damaged (a part is cut). - The strap provided to carry the binocular (around neck) is damaged too. But I used them several times and they seem to work just fine. I do not know whether I was provided a refurbished item (or a returned one from an unsatisfied customer) I'll update my review in case anything else happens during normal use. The little bag provided to store and carry the binocular is not very thick. Thicker would be better. It just protect from dust but not effectively from shock if any. Binoculars are not heavy. It is easy to carry them around the neck in the case.

I was initially happy with these binoculars. However, after a short, easy hike in the woods, I took the binoculars out of my pack, opened the case and noticed that the diopter (I think that's the correct term; in other words, the Right eye piece, with the one-side focus adjustment) was not attached to the body of the binoculars. I assumed that someone in my household had unscrewed it and didn't put it back on. So, I put it back on and the binoculars worked fine. After a bit more walking, I again took the binoculars out of my pack, took them out of the case, and again the right eyepiece was detached from the binoculars. After screwing it back on, I very gently, with mild pressure, tugged the eye piece, and it popped right off. The threads for screwing it on/off were in good shape, but the entire eye piece would pop on and off quite easily. It simply felt cheap, and made me question how actually waterproof these are. I returned these recently. I'm not sure if I received a defective pair, or if there's a design flaw with the Outland.

But not as good as I had hoped it would be. Probably wouldn't buy it again.
