My JBL 12" subwoofer blew, the factory couldn't fix it and Best Buy dropped them out of their store, thank god for the 4 year ext. warr. They gave me this big boy as a raplacement, this kicks the hell out of my old JBL which lasted only 1-1/2 years. The only tiny thing is that super bright LED right in the front, you can use it as a night light. That's the ONLY thing about this that I don't care for. Just spend a buck and get one, you will tick off your neighbors!! LOL

I'm a professional musician and have had my present home theater for over three years. I've never felt that my home theater sound was that great despite having five high-end Sonance ceiling speakers. My old subwoofer stopped working so I conducted research on a replacement. The evaluations and reviews for the Klipsch 12" were outstanding. I bought the Klipsch and compared it with another 8" subwoofer. There was no comparison in the sound quality and projection between the 8" and Klipsch 12". My home theater square footage is less than 300 square feet. Theoretically, an 8" or 10" subwoofer should be sufficient. However, based on my experience, if you live in a home, the 12" is much better. My home theater now sounds the way I always envisioned it to sound -- outstanding. I can't wait to invite my buddies over for the Super Bowl.

I have this sub in my Great room(Living room, Kitchen Dining room all in one giant room) and it has no problems shaking all doors and pictures in the room. once I tuned it to my speaker setup it sounds great(Awesome during Transformers on bluray). The only thing that bothers me is that its pretty light, so when the bass is really going good, sometimes the whole thing moves from the vibrations on the hardwood floor and the feet make a popping noise. I solved this by putting my wifes Yoga mat underneath it. (don't worry, she never uses it anyways) I would, and have, recommended this sub to people looking for a great price/performance ratio.

KLIPSCH SYNERGY Sub-12: Unlike most people who purchase a Sub-woofer to add to their Home Theater (HT) system, I needed a Sub for another reason. I had to replace my 25 yr old Integrated Amplifier with a modern A/V Receiver. One thing I didn't forget was to pick a Receiver with Phono input for my turntable (26 yrs old). But, I didn't realize until a few days later, after figuring out how everything else worked on the new component, that it did not have a "loudness" button on it either. I didn't think about it at first because mine was always turned on. I only have one pair of speakers connected to it; a couple of Klipsch Heresy's that I have had forever. These small box speakers do not have much low-end response, maybe 50-60 Hz at most. Well, the old "loudness" compensation would normally boost the low-end enough to be adequate for my listening purposes, but with this modern A/V Receiver, the speakers sounded very flat and turning the Bass up to its highest point didn't change things

I received this subwoofer for Christmas in 2007. I love it. I've never used it for a home theater system; only for music. It enhances the sound and experience of any genre of music. You may need to make some small adjustments depending on what your listening to (more bass on things like jazz and rock. less bass on things like rap and hip-hop). Most of the time, mine is hooked up to a pretty low quality sony bookshelf cd player system. To be honest, the sub doesn't really care. It works amazingly. Right now i have it hooked up for the first time to a yamaha system including a yamaha head unit. It really pushes the bass.

This bass is strong. It's quite simple. It will rattle the dishes on the other side of your house if you turn up the volume. For this price its amazing. For another couple hundred bucks i would still say its worth it. I have some experience with things that make noise. In a rock band. And have about $2000 into my car audio. Make sure to try several different placements

I just bought the Sub-12 for my home theatre system. I currently have Klipsch RF-3's for towers and a Klipsch RC-52 as a center. This was added to produce the low frequency sounds that the RF-3's are incapable of making. I'm very pleased with the performance for all types of music and movie effects. I've set the low frequency crossover at 70Hz to keep the sub from producing sounds that the RF-3's can handle. Like another reviewer, I've found this to help the quality. I can't compare it to an incredibly expensive sub or an incredibly cheap one, but I will say my pieced together Klipsch system smokes my parents' Bose system. Especially in the low frequency category. I previously had a Klipsch KSW-12 but sold it when I got married. I was happy with the KSW-12 then and I'm extremly happy with the Sub-12.

When i first got this sub hooked up to my system i played my subwoofer test song... Lets just say that i do not turn the sub up past 60% of its own volume and i have not turned up my receiver past -10 Db. This is the best sub i have ever heard. I know a lot about music, electronics and anything relating to these things. This sub is more than worth the price. It hits HARD and can pick up the really low frequencies if you have it set up right. i have this sub in the basement of my house (the house is pretty big) i can easily hear and feel it in my room upstairs and on the other side of the house. I can hear and feel it probably about 200+ feet away outside easily. i am afraid to turn the sub up louder because it honestly feels like the walls are going to fall down.

the only thing about this sub that im not a fan of- but i knew it would be this way before i bought it- is the fact that it does not respond well to rock. This type of music generally responds better to an 8 and sometimes

This thing hits. It hits hard and clean. Most subs sound great with movies and alright with music. Music sounds so good with this sub. As well as movies. Im so happy with this sub. Shakes the WHOLE house. :) Don't settle for a ten inch or another brand. At this price it can not be beat.

The klipsch sub12 is an extraordinary subwoofer. The bass from this sub can make the whole house shake. I am considering buying this subwoofer on top of the klipsch sub10 that I already own. I have seen the subwoofer on sale at bestbuy before for around $375 and regret not buying it now. Even for its regular price at $475 its worth it. It delievers more bass than some subwoofers that are $1000 or more. For the price and the performance of the subwoofer you are definitely getting your moneys worth. I would recommend this subwoofer to anyone who wants to add some incredible deep bass to their home theater.

This thing is a joy. You can get all technical matching it with this speaker set or that... that bottom line is this sub will adapt. It plays well with others.

:)

I moved it to multiple systems throughout the house. The little cheapy receiver in the bedroom cranked just as hard as the Marantz in the living room and I feel the earth move... under my feet.

I love it.

You can spend less and you will get less. DO NOT PURCHASE a cheapy sub... go the extra mile for this 12" beauty and you will be rewarded.

Want to cheap out? Go for the SONY 10" 100 Watt... it's awesome for what it is. If you want EARTH SHATTERING bass that rumbles you to the bone... Klipsch 12" 650 Watt.

(recommended with flying colors)

Based upon the reviews, I purchased this Sub-12 to complement two Klipsch F-3 floorstanders, and to extend the lower range of the audio spectrum. Needless to say, this Sub-12 is not only a behemoth in size, but a monster when it comes to filling the room with deep, smooth, yet tight bass. I never turn my Sub-12 beyond 1/2 gain - it's overkill!!! Word of Caution: Watch out for wall-mounted pictures/objects as they WILL fall.

I bought this sub along with the Klipsch Icon XW-500d from BB. I got this one first and hooked it up to my receiver (Yamaha DSP A-1) via the coaxial LFE input on the sub as recommended by Klipsh. I powered up the Blue Ray and put on Quantum of Solace to watch the opening sequence with the car chase.

At first I thought there was a problem with the sub as I didn't really notice much of any difference with it on compared to without it. I adjusted the gain and low-pass filters on the sub and had to have the sub at well over 1/2 gain (actually closer to 2/3) in order for it to be noticed over my mains (Klipsch KLF-20's). I really thought that with 300w RMS on tap and a 12" passive driver being pushed by a 10" powered driver that there would be a lot more bass response from this speaker, especially after reading so many positive reviews of the sub-12 on this site as well as on Klipsch.com.

I played around with better locations for the speaker including placing it in a corner

I'm loving it. Maybe a little too much. Just purchased my HTS w/ this sub. I'm sure the sub-10 is more than enough....but this 12 sends earth shattering bass throughout the house. The entire room will tremble whenever there's and explosion in the movie and the volume is high enough....(evil laugh)...and then the neighbors will probably jump out from their dreams....EARTHQUAKE! Imagine 2 of these on a 7.2 setup....LOL. Bring the house down.

This sub provides the theater like experience....thats if you have good speakers as well.

My system: Klipsch Quintet III speaker system with Klipsch sub-12 all powered by the Yamaha receiver model 663.

If you are buying a subwoofer, and you're not shopping at Magnolia - this really should be the only one you consider. I don't think I can praise the quality of the Sub-12 enough. It will rock your entire neighborhood if you want it to. Definitely a great buy.

this sub is replacing a velodyne vrp 1200- 130 watts rms, and to me was a great sounding sub. my original receiver was a harmon kardon avr 7300. a few weeks ago I got a onkyo tx sr 806 with polk rti 10's fronts, polk cs2 center, and what was originaly meant to be as fronts polk monitor 70's, turned into rears when I found the rti's. I had wanted a little more bang/boom for ht experience, and did some research. I had a price range of $300 to $400, but after reading the reviews on bestbuy for this klipsch I decided to take a chance. I sold the velodyne for the extra $, and I can tell you with no reservation that not one person with a positive review on the klipsch lied or stretched the truth. this sub has to be the most important piece of my audio equipment, I have spent around $6000 and am most happy about this purchase. my A/V room is 15X20. I was about to send the onkyo back and keep the hk, but this sub really brought my entire system to life. when I first plugged this sub in and powered

I have very picky ears. I've spent a lot of money (too much, actually) trying to find the perfect sound for both music and movies. I've tried subwoofers from the cheapest to the most expensive models from various sellers, including online only companies. I've found that eight inch subwoofers are best for music because they're accurate and tight, and 12 inch ported subwoofers are best for rendering Low Frequency Effects for movies. None---I repeat---not one single subwoofer, can satisfy me for both music and movies at the same time. To meet my needs, I had to have a dual subwoofer system.

I am using the Klipsch Sub-12 in conjunction with a Definitive Technology SuperCube II 8 inch subwoofer. The SuperCube II has very tight accurate bass which is great for music, but it lacks 'punch' in the 40Hz and lower frequencies for earth shaking bass in movies.

That's where the Klipsch Sub-12 comes in. I have the Klipsch Sub-12's Low Pass Filter set at 40Hz, and the volume just at

I picked this little gem up on sale for only $375. It was well worth every penney. This powerfull monster brings a whole new level to my home theater system. The first movie I watched with my new sub was Transformers on Blu-Ray. All I could say is WOW. I rediscovered my home theater. If you are in the market for a powerful sub without spending a lotta cash this is the one for you.

This sub made my old 10" sub sound like dogmeat. The low frequency response is excellent. It makes watching old movies feel like you are watching them for the first time.

I bought this Sub to match with the Quintet SL system. I used an audio CD that I used in the past to test car stereos and the very low frequency sound is excellent. The downfiring ported enclosure gives you a lot of rumbling bass. Unfortunately, it does not give good response throughout the whole low freqeuncy range. Normally I would recommend a sealed enclosure or a smaller speaker to get a full range of bass response. I'm not sure if the sub-10 would be better, but you would be giving up some power.

I will probably have to get a front firing 8" subwoofer to get a full range of sound. So just be aware of that depending on what speaker system you match the sub-12 up with. Regardless, it is an awesome subwoofer and I'm sure my neighbors don't like me anymore.

I bought the 12" Klipsch Sub 12 which is a 650 watt downward firiing sub and a scratch and dent Def. Tech ProSub 1000 which is a 10" 300 watt forward firing sub to have a 30 day bake off between them. Well, I am keeping them both. The 12" Klipsch Sub 12 is in my theater room shaking my house and the neighbors house as well. The Def Tech ProSub 1000 is in my family room where I mainly listen to music. It does not shake the house like the Klipsch, but it is very tight and a dream to listen too. So depending on what you are using this sub for music or movies would determine which I would recommend buying.

Amazing sound and Power! I wouldn't buy this for an apartment or townhouse unless you like making people angry. I debated getting the Klipsch SUB-12 but unless you are putting it in a huge room the SUB-10 is more than enough. I have it in a 13 ft by 25 ft room and it's set at maybe 30% if you consider the dial on the back and the adjustment on my receiver. Up much higher and it never shuts up. I like loud sub sound but when it rattles the walls even during the commercials it can get old. Also, the fullness of the sound is great. It sits to the left of my TV but you wouldn't be able to point to the sound source if you couldn't see it sitting there. It's not a small piece of equipment so make sure you note the dimensions.

I bought this sub to go along with my Klipsch - Quintet SL 5 speaker system. This sub matches very well with the system and provides plenty of response. The adjustible power controls allow you to turn this sub way up or down, so don't even think about getting the 10" and coming up short changed.

Early this year I finally decided to begin building a home theatre/audio system. I had some old speakers I knew I could use for a while, but did not have a receiver or subwoofer. First, I purchased a Denon 2808CI AV receiver. A wonderful receiver I highly recommend.

My next purchase was a subwoofer. I wanted to spend between $400-$600. I spent months researching the internet and reading reviews on many subwoofers. I went to Best Buy and listened to most of the subwoofers in the Magnolia showroom. Based upon the many positive reviews of the Sub-12, I asked the salesperson if he could bring it into the showroom so I could compare it to others. The Sub-12 blew away every other subwoofer! The other subwoofers sounded very localized. In other words, I could definitely tell where the lower frequencies were coming from. In contrast, the Sub-12 filled the room and it sounded as if deep, low, crisp bass was coming from every speaker in the showroom. Because I was interested in getting Definitive

This is an amazing speaker. We heard it played in Best Buy with a set of Klipsch Quintet SL. We bought both and they are amazing. Only negative I can find with this (if you can call it a negative) is our Dog thinks it is thundering and freaks out when we are watching a movie, it also tends to rattle the pictures on the wall.

I replaced an older ksw-10 klipsch sub for this one, and it doesnt compare. With the master volume on the sub turned half way up, some movies still rattle the doors, walls, and fixtures hanging on the wall. Kind of like when a loud boom of thunder hits right near you house. That kind of bass with quality sound where you can still hear the differnt bass notes. My old klipsch sub would barely shake anything turned completly up. There is no reason what so ever to spend more money on a sub. You will have to double the price to get any better, and even then, the difference will probably inaudible to 99% of the people that hear it. In fact it is probably over the top for most home theaters, but that is why I like it. Depending on the bestbuy your in, it may be the most expensive sub in the store, but thats for a reason. It is on a completly different level than a 199$ sub. Nothing else in the store compares. If you buy you wont regret it.

After setting up configuring to our room size I kept hearing a rattle. Our home is open thru the kitchen, dining and living room areas and noticed this rattle in each room. Finally figured out that the pictures, etc hanging on the walls, Dishes in the china cabinet, etc was what was causing the distortion not my system.
Did months of research on upgrading my surround system and did it piece by piece. This sub was the last component and brings all the others together into one.
Be it dvd, music or hd tv the sound is more than what I paid for.
Get this one while you can if purchasing at Best Buy. The guy that has sold me most of my new stuff said that this version of sub's are going to be discontinued for a more pricey version.

Clear, DEEP sound. When you get the crossover set right. the lower the tones the louder this bad boy gets. Just a word of Warning. if you have wood floors..consult a physician when expirence shortness of breath. Dont say i didnt warn you when you feel the bass in you chest. Ohh and a little problem solver use silicone spray instead of wd-40 on you door hinges. Stops the Rattling.

This is a tremdous improvement over bass speakers I've owned in the past. Deeper, fuller and not boomy at all. You actually feel the sound much like listening to a large pipe organ. It's the best I've ever owned.

After upgrading all of my satelites to floorstanding and bookshelf speakers, I was in need of a replacement for my 8" powered JBL. I did some research and decided this was the sub to buy.

Wow....that was a great decision. I plugged it in and started adjusting. There wasn't much adjustment needed, it sounded great at any level. The bass is very deep, very loud, yet still very crisp and clean. I had reservations about going to a larger sub because my 8" was so clean, but this sub is even cleaner and more crisp than my old 8" was.

I highly recommend this sub to anyone that is in the market for a top level sub at a medium price.

I did a substantial amount of research to find a world class sub for my audiophile system. Price was not a consideration. I looked at subs 4 to 5 times more expensive. All things considered this sub is in a world of its own. First, look at how many other reviewers rated it a 5 star-yes there is a reason why it rates that high with that many. Second,versatility-this one does it all kids. I listen to everything from rap to country-this sub brings new life to every type of music. Third, it excels at movies especially with some serious explosions and sountrack requirements. This sub brings your movies to LIFE! I own a top of the line euro coupe and sadly my home system combined with this sub makes the cars audio almost intolerable. There you have it folks world class performance from Klipsch at a price like what Best Buy offers you-easy answer YOU must own this sub !

I recently replaced a Polk Audio PSW-12 with the Synergy. This is an amazing upgrade. It mixes well with the Polk RTi-8 Fronts, and CSi-3 Center, R15 surround and Infinity Primus 250 Back Surround. All of these speakers are powered by an Onkyo 803.

The previous sub had good bass response, but was very directional. What I mean by that is I could hear the bass coming from the sub. It did not fill the room. The Synergy fills the room, and actually makes the bass sound like it is coming from the individual speakers. If you increase the gain, it will shake the house.

Installation was very simple. I used the LFE connection, and plugged it in to power. It also has an automatic power save mode, and a light on the front to let you know what mode it is in. Over all, a great value!

I have this paired with a set of F-3's and S-1's thinking of upgrading to S-2's. I used to own a low end Velodyne 10" sub. This sub hits hard, and is very clean. Best sub I have owned so far. I would recommend this sub to anyone looking for a good sub in the sub 1000 price rance.

I purchased this sub as a to be placed along with the Klipsch reference series 7.1 system. My first thoughts of the sub was that it delivered loud earth sharking bass, but as I began to listen to it for the next several weeks, I could tell that during certain movies it could not keep up and the bass began to get sloppy. I beganj it get anoying. I have a really picky ear, and I love my reference series speakers, but I did not love this sub. I returned the item.

I ended up purchasing a velodyne DPS-12 and am really happy.

This Sub is a great investment,.... i have my home theatre in the basement in a 2 story house, and yes the second story shakes enough to rattle pictures off the wall..but don't fret! has wonderful gain control(i like it loud) Great all around sub, music/movies/concerts/video games(guitar hero rocks on this thing) i recommend to all who enjoys a good thump in their chest,.... or just a nice clean sound that anyone can enjoy.... waiting for tax returns to purchase a second one..

Fills a room with deep powerful clean bass that I feel in my guts...especially when I play blu ray movies! Explosive scenes send shock waves through the room! Great with music and movies.
My novice home theater setup is:
42 in samsung plasma
onkyo 7.1 reciever with HDMI
Playstation 3, XBOX 360, Wii, Dish network HD
Yamaha 5.1 speaker package and replaced standard 6.5 inch sub with this monster.
Very satisfied and well worth the price.

Awesome subwoofer. It's taken our home theater up a notch or two. I paired it up with the quintet sl speakers, also from klipsch. This thing takes you in the middle of the action. Its unreal! Go to your nearby bestbuy store and check it out for yourself. This thing is rather huge though, so factor that into your decision.

I bought this as the cornerstone for a new home theater setup. I couldn't be happier with it. It goes low and lets you feel the action. The bass is tight and adds so much to the viewing pleasure. I replaced an 8 in sub also purchased at Best Buy because it was over driven trying to keep up with the other audio components. for the money, it is a great deal. I would definately buy it again. My only downside is size, but a 12 in sub is going to need a big cabinet for proper sound.

This sub is one of klipsch's best subs. The deep bass is better than even going to a movie theater. Many movies such as: transformers will beneifit greatly from having a powerful sub that can give you the booming bass this one has to offer. For an ideal setup i would recommend two of these subs but it will blow you away just by itself. If your looking for a sub that can beat out even the most modern movie theaters, this is the buy of a lifetime.

I've owned this sub for about 2 years & it's been amazing. I have it conected with the Klipsch F2 floor speakers, 2 S2 satelite speakers & a C2 center channel. Powered all by a 7.1 900 Watt Sony receiver.

Really is worth the price. You won't regret it.

I had the klipsch 10 powered sub and took it back due to some great reviews i read about this 12 inch and the performance of the 10. The 10 was good and tight but the 12 is good, tigth and room filling. This 12 is so powerful and responsive with music or with my surround sound. If you get this woofer you will not be disappointed. If you are looking at the 10 inch spend a little extra for this baby and you will be happy that you did.

I have this paired with a Velodyne CHT front row system, it is a ridiculous bang for the buck for what I paid ($375). It's big and bad and loud and deep. It's pretty accurate too, although it's not a sealed sub so audioholics will probably look elsewhere. I also considered an HSU but for this price I'm keeping the Klipsch. The Elemental Design subs will probably have more output and depth than this Klipsch, but the ED's are ugly and this one is actually quite nice. Easy to set up and plenty of inputs in the back depending on your receiver. Blended well with my bookshelves and I'm a happy customer. For movies it's awesome, shakes my walls and you feel it in your seat but isn't boomy. You don't feel like turning it down after a while because it's hard to listen to. Sounds good with my music and once again, isn't boomy, although purists will still probably want a sealed sub.

This thing rocks. I have as part of a 7.1 system and it totally makes home theater awesome. I can't see why anyone would want any more bass than this thing puts out.....it shakes the house if you crank it.

I just upgraded my whole system from a 3 year old Onkyo HTIB with it's default speakers & subwoofer, to a setup considting of Polk RTI-12s, CXi-A4 and FXI-A4s, driven by a Denon AVR-4802R. If you go to the Klipsh website you'll see the RMS rating of this Sub-12 is "only" 250W. So I was a little skeptical since I'd been using an Oknyo subwoofer rated at 230W - which also gets high ratings. But the Onkyo was boomy, had a 10" driver and I wanted better sound so I upgraded to this Klipsch Synergy Sub-12. Head to head there is no competition. At the default out-of-the-box settings the Sub-12 blew my Onyko out of the water. Not only is the Sub-12 not boomy, it's much tighter, but "thunderous" is about the only adjective to adequately describe it. It moves the room. You don't so much hear it as feel it. In well executed explosions you can feel the shock-wave moving through you without resorting to ear-splitting volume. With the Onkyo sub I had to keep the SW output of my Denon AVR-4802R at

No remote, not that you would be changing settings too often once placed right and calibrated.
I have this with Klipsch Reference 7 Towers (and Reference surround).
Though this is Synergy series it does the job needed for a 4th of the price of the Reference series SUB.
The sound is very clean and compliments the RF7's smoothly for music (I have it set at 80hz), only there when needed, not booming over the bass, mids and highs of the towers.
It really becomes apparent though for movies, even though the RF7's have some of the deepest bass in big speakers, the down firing (hardwood floors) SUB12
(set at a low level I might add) moves the sound not just all around you, but through you.
I am using the LFE input, for my system the regular stereo input would be too much I think, if you need base, this unit has 650 watts, goes down to 24hz (make sure your room is ready) and is much, much less that I had budgeted for!

A few years ago, I purchased one of the Bose Acoustimass speaker systems, and have been pleased with it throughout the years, but always felt it was missing something as it didn't sound like some of the other systems I have heard with rich bass..... this was especially disappointing during movies when action scenes would play and I couldn't get the sound or bass I wanted to complete the sound. For years, I thought maybe I just had things hooked up wrong, or maybe it was not supposed to sound any better.

After reading reviews on BB and other sites, I decided to take the plunge and pick this up with a gift certificate I got for Chrismtmas this year...... I can't even begin to tell you the difference this sub makes in the entire home theater system and can't believe it took me this many years to figure out I needed a better sub. You'd think I went out and bought all new speakers, but the truth is, I just got this one sub and my entire living room/house now absolutely rocks... the

We're in the process of building a custom surround sound system using existing or cheap speakers currently until we can add to the system. We've selected Klipsch speakers and started with the 650W Powered Subwoofer. Our system sounded okay but this subwoofer took it over the top adding a tremendous feel to everything we watch and listen to. We didn't have a sub to go with our system so the choices were huge and wanted to make a purchasing decision that would last and one we can add to. We got the big 12" one and couldn't be happier.

I just purchased this sub on Weds, to complete my home theater. I bought Klipsch b-2's and the C-2. This was the final piece to my theater and boy did I save the best for last. I was impressed by the sound, I popped in Transformers HD DVD and when I got to the menu I immediately had to lower the levels. It literaly rattled the walls. It really delivers that oomph you need when watching a movie to really immerse you. I just finished watching The Bourne Ultimatum and you could feel every gun shot and explosions. I like the fact it can power itself off after a few minutes. There is so much that I can say about this sub but I will say try it and you will like it.

The 12" Klipsch Synergy-series subwoofer will disappoint few with an uncanny ability to produce amazingly clear, deep bass from a wide array of sources. Most subwoofers struggle in this regard: those adept at dynamic "movie" bass will produce an unclean sound when listening to music, and vice-versa. The Klipsch shines in this particular arena; regardless of what you are listening to, there is an audible delight waiting to resonate out of this subwoofer.
Another strength of the Klipsch is its myriad connection options. Connectivity is possible through line-level inputs (via traditional speaker wire) and two different RCA input configurations (low-level, or LFE, mono connection or a dual RCA input, depending on your amplifier/decoder).
The only drawback, and the one thing that prevented me from giving this product a full 5-star rating, is its gargantuan size. To give a visual reference as to just how large it is, picture a microwave manufactured in 1984 or two juxtaposed 13" CRT televisions.

I purchased this sub around august and haven't used until to today. I hooked it up to my Harmon Kardon AVR 247 and it literally shook my new house. I can't believe how crisp and low the bass is. I haven't heard very many subs so I can't compare this to any. However, I would have to say that unless your willing to spend a thousand bucks or more, buy this sub and you will be very satisfied with your purchase. I highly recommended this sub!!!

I have Bose 901 Series 6 speakers and Klipsch told me exactly how to set my reciever and what plug to use to make my place rock. The stereo has never sounded so good and movies take on a whole new dimensions in HDTV and even in non-HDTV with this sub. Cannot beat it for the price, solid, well made and outstanding customer support no waiting on hold for 10-15 minutes.
Great Product and Great Price I would recommend it to anyone that wants awesome sound, my room is 20' by 30' carpeted and with it cranked up loud, will rattle the pictures off the Walls in a room down the hall!

I bought my 12" sub woofer in early 2006. I connected with my Yamaha reciever with my Yamaha surround speakers. Wooow...I was VERY IMPRESSED with the DEEP BASS! Honestly, I NEVER heard great BASS sounds that comes from a subwoofer till I bought the Klipsch 12"! I told the salesperson to let me hear the TRUE sound at the store and I was BLOWN away! I told her that I want to buy it right NOW! Yes it cost alittle BUT it is worth every DIME! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND you to invest in this subwoofer & I PROMISE that you will not be sorry! I will buy many more in my house in the future! Like my dad say..you can have a good reciever, equalizer etc... BUT if you don't have the QUALITY SPEAKERS then you won't get the results you're looking for! It does what is says! Heart Pounding, Earthshaking BASS!!!!!

This sub sounds great with the F-3s, S-3s, C-3 speakers. It rumbles when watching movies, and adds a great kick to music. Very clean sounding sub and it is powered very well with the built in amp.

I bought the 12 inch klipsch sub after doing a lot of research. Let me tell you. There are subs out there that are better but for the money and the convience of buying it out the store rather the net, it is worth it. The sub rattles anything loose in my house when the volume is pushed up. I have a 2400 sqft house where I can go in any room in the house and hear the tight bass it produces. I also bought the klipsch f-2, s-2, and c-2 speakers to go with it. What a set!!!

Pros:
Tight Bass. Good reproduction of low frequency effects when watching movies.

Cons:
It could use a remote to control the gain, phase and power like higher end subs.

Bottomline, If you are going to buy an economical sub this is the one to buy. The only way you can better this sub is pay more with a higher end sub. I love this sub.

If you are thinking about getting a sub I highly recommend the Klipsch Sub-12. It cost a little more than the Sub-10 but the huge performance difference that the 12 gives is worth it.
I did a lot of research on different subs and other speaker sets before I bought the Klipsch Sub-12. I read that some people criticize the amps ability to keep up with music and things like that... At first I had the same problem (some tones just didn't hit AT ALL). Then I started adjusting my Sony STR-K740P receiver. It has different sound settings like Hall, Concert, Game. I had the receiver set to concert. I then changed it to Normal Surround. WOW! I have never heard a sub get this loud and sound so clear without spending over $1000 for all the equipment. It actually gets way to loud and drowns out all my other speakers as well as shakes all the dishes and pictures on the bookshelf and all the walls. It vibrates every wall in my 1300 sq ft house! If you set it on something hard it will bounce up and

I bought this subwoofer just yesterday as an upgrade to my old 10" Klipsch sub and I have to say the difference a mere 2" can make is astounding!
This thing rattles my large living room with earth shattering bass! Once adjusted properly you'll be hearing all sorts of thunderous bass that you may not have noticed before!
Great purchase!

My husband HAD to have this subwoofer. It goes great in our living room with our surround sound and 42 inch flat screen. I have never heard anything sound so crisp and clear before. It makes watching movies, tv, sports, listening to music, etc...so much more amazing. You can hear the little details of the bas in the music and movies, things that you cant hear on the radio or in a cd player. This subwoofer will guarantee the best sound you have heard! I would recommend this to anyone who has or wants a surround sound system! You just cant go without it!
