Pros: variangle screen

Cons: price

This is a fine entry level DSLR. I would never be without a variangle screen! It allows me to shoot over my head or down low and compose the frame. With image stabilization and auto focus this camera functions like a point and shoot but there is still complete manual control -have it your way. The lens choices are wonderful and you can upgrade to a higher end body and take the lens up too. It is too expensive but it is at the same price breaks as it's competitors which are also over priced.

Pros: The low light sensors

Cons: Required a bit of knowledge to adjust manual settings

I like the camera. It can serve to both amateur or professionals.There is an automatic set point shoot and manual set shoot options.There are lots of options of shooting that can get you confused.Very adjustable and modifiable.great low light sensor let's you shoot in a room with dimm light or evening outdoor shoots. The flash is a very limited range flash that can be used in close ranges for up to 10 feet.Additional flash will make it a monster camera. Shotter speed is good enough unless you are shooting pics in a horse track.I had difficulty on taking pics with auto sttings because of 9 point image sensor don't allow me to take pics.It makes buzz sound when I tried.It must be another feature that I don't like I guess. If you can find it under $500 I can say that it's a nice price tag.Earlier versions with older sensors can mislead you.Watch the version T3i,not T3.

Cons: Fully manual modes are still confusing to me.

I like the quality of photos I've taken so far. I am impressed with the clarity of indoor action shots taken in sports mode. I am counting on the same or even better when we get to soccer season. Istill have a lot to learn about it though.

Cons: I can't think of a thing that's bad about it.

This Canon T3i Rebel EOS camera is considered a great camera for entry level DSLRs'. I couldn't agree more but, I think your getting much more. Although this is my first DSLR camera, in my opinion it has all the bells and whistles anyone especially a beginner could ever want. For example the ability to fire off camera speed lights. I love this function as I am going to start taking Portaits. Use your T3i for a Master and get one or two speed lights for slave units and your in business. The battery life is exceptional too. I did however buy an extra battery as backup. This camera has all the "easy" features if your not comfortable with setting your camera yourself but I as many others suggest you start in "manual" and get to know all about ISO, Apature, and shutter speed. When I bought mine it came with two kit lens' the 18X55 and the 75X300 zoom lens. Both are great lens' but I quickly started purchasing additional ones to get more versatility. Don't be spooked with this because lens' can be very expensive, there are some that are very affordable. Everything you get with your T3i kit will get you up and going like a professional. If your thinking of upgrading to a very nice DSLR then, I recommend this Camera.I am completely satisfied and don't intend on upgrading my T3i for a very long time. Hope this helps you on your decision to go DSLR. Happy Shooting. Oh yes, if you like to Post Process, I recommend Light room 4. Great software for the money. It has a feature on it that can pretty much eliminate "any" noise from high ISO setting. I love it.

This is my first DSLR camera. I compared with the "newer" T4i and decided for my purposes the T3i more than fit the bill and obviously there was a cost savings. So far I have loved this camera! The photos are excellent and features are extensive. There is a bit of a learning curve for the more advanced features, but that was to be expected. What I liked is you can use this camera right out of the box as it has the "auto" setting, but then you can explore all the other available features as you "learn the ropes". I have never loved how built it flash washes out pictures so I recommend an external flash or at least a diffuser for the pop up flash.

Cons: It doesn't work well with the factory strap, just won't hang comfortably around your neck

I have been putting off purchasing a good DSLR for several years now. Every time I got ready to buy one the next better and cheaper model would come out. Well as life goes my kids were growing up and I was missing out on all those good pictures so I finally purchased the Rebel T3si. I have been more than satisfied. Once, I learned how to actually use the camera I found I could take 3 and 4 action pics without even realizing or intending to. Upon review they all turn out to be great action shots. I am completely satisfied.

I've had this camera for about two months, but really only used it at Christmas. I loved the pics I got with it. I haven't had as much time to play with it and learn about it as I would like. I had a Canon Powershot before so it's an easy upgrade bc things are labeled the same. Can't wait till I have time to experiment more with it!

Did not work for much more thin 50 pics and flash quit working. error 05, turn on off, looked on web seems to be common problem WTF. liked the pic and auto but a little slow to auto adjust the first pic. very sad my first SLR where to go from here?

Cons: takes a long time to focus...have lost great shots because of that

Would not purchase thos camera again. Can not focus in too close ...camera will not focus. Takes a long time to focus, therefore, you loose alot of shoots.
