Sandisk Sansa C250 2G MP3 Player With FM Tuner (Refurb)
I like this mp3 player a lot. I originally had a creative labs 30gb, It died and I did not want to spend $200 again. This player is pretty small and very light wieght. Adding music is a breeze. Controls are very easy to navigate, no need to read instructions, I had them figured out in about a minute.

The provided earbuds do not sound that great. Not bad, but I liked my creative labs earbuds better. I may replace these in the near future.

Accessories for this player are also difficult to find. Sandisk website lists several accessories but when you click on them nothing pops up. Basically I am looking for a clip, but have had no luck so far.

Overall, I am very pleased with my purchase. Good MP3 player from a quality name brand. Extremely easy to use. Only downsides are a lack of readily availible accessories and the earbuds could be better.

I would still recommend this player over an ipod any day. But would probably say creative labs is better than the sansa though.

Sandisk Sansa C250 2G MP3 Player With FM Tuner (Refurb)
My 3 year old 512k Sandisk developed a lose earplug mount so it was to upgrade. The store I went to was offering the C250 model for the same price as the C240 model so I bought it.

The new unit is nice. The sound is better than my older model and the 64k color display is decent. You can view photos on it if you wish. It has a rechargeable lithium polymer battery which is a minus as they wear out over time, Sandisk makes up for this a bit by making the battery replaceable (although the kid at the Be-st buy store was wrong when he said it wasn't--maybe he was just trying to sell an extended warranty plan--bah). Still, I miss the flexibility my older player had with its AAA battery and the older one had a very similar battery life as my new one.

It has a passable FM tuner with decent reception. It won't work as well as a home receiver but it works okay. Sadly, Sandisk still does not sell a player with AM capability, another minus.

The unit has shuffle play but not random play. (By

This is my first mp3 player and I am completely satisfied with it. The only big drawback is that there is no separate charger unless you buy one. You charge the unit by connecting to the computer with the USB connection. And it was so very easy to install a 2gb micro disk for additional storage.

Sandisk Sansa C250 2G MP3 Player With FM Tuner (Refurb)
The Sandisk Sansa is by far the worst MP3 Player I have owned. Sure, it worked great for 2 weeks and it had some features that many MP3 players don't have like FM radio and voice recording. I thought I got a hell of a deal buying this for 42 dollars but boy was I wrong. I started having issues with the battery about 15 days after I had it, the battery was running out in about 1.5 hours which was not what I expected (having trusted Sandisk's products for many years now). I didn't really mind this because when I listened to music it wasn't for long periods of time, however a few days later the sound output was not working, and I switched out like 4 pair of headphones but I realized the MP3 Player had the problem. I called customer service, which was a bit hard to communicate with but they got the job done nontheless. About a week after recieving my second Sansa it started having software issues, deleting my songs, and shutting off unexpectedly. It eventually got to the point (in about a week)

Although I can live with the product not working with MP4 and other formats, the battery life is terrible. I have to recharge for a full night for only a couple of hours of service. Product doesn't come with a wall charger either, only through computer, which takes much longer, and as I said, still doesn't work well. Battery might be defective.

Sandisk Sansa C250 2G MP3 Player With FM Tuner (Refurb)
Have had this mp3 player for 6 months and love it. Had some trouble downloading music initially (don't use iTunes is my suggestion -- once I started with Windows Media Player it was smooth sailing). I also like having the option of fm tuner. The sound quality is better than my son's iPod (even he agrees). Have successfully downloaded music, ripped from cd and burned my music to disc. Another plus for this product: Customer support at the 800 number was wonderfully patient and helpful.

Sandisk Sansa C250 2G MP3 Player With FM Tuner (Refurb)
I really wanted to like this mp3 player. I was trying to replace my 1G Shuffle, which has been kind physically contorted with superglue since the cheap Apple armband snapped off the USB connector. My main purpose: to use it at the gym and to be able to listen to some podcasts when I'm walking around Downtown (I was in Seattle at the time).

I kept trying to defend its problems, but the last straw was when it broke in under 6 months. The right channel of sound just stopped working altogether. If I was an electrical engineer I might take it apart and try tightening whatever was loose to cause this problem, but I honestly didn't even feel that it was worth doing that.

Let me list all the things I hated about it:

-I'll start with the issue of crashing. It crashed a few times a week. It would just be playing a song, and then it would freeze. Or it would be choppy in playing a track. That was especially irritating.

-The navigation was completely unintuitive on it. It was not easy or enjoyable

Sandisk Sansa C250 2G MP3 Player With FM Tuner (Refurb)
I ordered this MP3 player for my mom on her birthday. I already own the same player, so I knew it would be easy for her to operate. The player came in the mail in a timely fashion and appeared to be new and in the origional packaging.

When we opened the packaging and hooked the player up to the computer to start syncing music, we got a less than pleasant surprise- the player was obviously used. Almost half of the 2G of storage was already used- there were many, many songs already loaded (not the type of music Mom would want to listen to!). We attempted to remove these pre-loaded songs, but we kept getting error messages. Attempts to sync new music also got error messages. We followed directions to restore the player to "factory new condition", but the player locked up and nothing changed.

We are returning this player, and getting a replacement. I feel like we were given a used, defective returned item advertised as new. I am willing to give Amazon another chance to correct this

Sandisk Sansa C250 2G MP3 Player With FM Tuner (Refurb)
Good:
-memory appears like a flash drive and will hold songs from WM Player
-a single song will play on this player
-battery lasts about 6 to 8 hours
-Windows Media Player can convert song files to Sansa; if you don't have WMP, there is no software from Sandisk that will load them.

Bad:
-Beyond playing a song, player can't do much more
-Playlists can only be installed on the fixed 2GB memory, non-removable
-Added micro SD card appears as another player, not additional memory
-Added memory is limited to 2 GB Micro SD (NOT Micro SDHC)
-Total memory cannot be more than 2 GB plus 2 GB, always separated
-Playlists cannot play from both memories, only the fixed internal 2GB
-If two playlists contain the same song, the song will be added twice
-Sound quality is minimal
-Sound volume at max is about medium compared to other players
-Available operator's manual/website has little or no information
-Player is physically very weak, won't play at temperatures below 50 F

Overall, if you are looking

Sandisk Sansa C250 2G MP3 Player With FM Tuner (Refurb)
This is just what you want to play hours of tunes. Ripped 35 CDs of music to it and have been listening at my desk.

The sound quality is fine, even with the compression required to put that much music on such a compact player.

The user interface is intuitive. I easily figured out how to remove the pre-installed sample music, play random selections and continually loop music without referring to a manual.

The only problem is that the player has to be turned off to recharge when connected to my work computer. Am confident the problem is something to do with the fact that the computer at work is old and just need to update some drivers/software.

Sandisk Sansa C250 2G MP3 Player With FM Tuner (Refurb)
I own another Sansa player (older model - 4GB version). It's worked perfectly for over a year.

This one cannot be recognized on my home computer running Windows XP. I've gone through multiple workarounds and nothing has worked. It is recognized fine on my office PC. So, I was able to load music there, but it is a pain as the home computer is where my music is.

I emailed "support" via their website. Two weeks - no reply. Emailed back -- calling attention to zero replies. Four days -- no reply.

I ordered the C250 Sandisk and I love it! This is my first real mp3 player and I am a having a few issues operating it, but overall I would say it is a really good product. My only complaint is that I am having issues deleting playlists off of the device itself, but I will figure out how to do it eventually. I think the player needs to come with better instructions on how to operate it.

Sandisk Sansa C250 2G MP3 Player With FM Tuner (Refurb)
After looking at Zunes and iPods, I got a major league headache. Neither of these units seem to do everything that they should for the high price tag and all of the hype. Clearly, Micro$oft and Apple are getting way too big for their britches. Still, they'll probably make the definitive moble media player in 10 to 12 generations and it will probably be fairly priced. In the meantime, SanDisk makes this little gem. It doesn't do everything, it just does what it needs to do --- which is to play mp3s. No hype, no crazy price tag, easy as pie to use (drag and drop), good sound quality (use decent headphones), good screen/picture for what it should be used for (identifying song titles), compact size (like a pack of Double Mint gum), light as a feather, and just a hint of coolness (you can even configure the EQ to your specifications and not just to a preset like Zune and iPod). As others have said, it's the best mp3 player for the money --- and you can still look up Zune's and iPod's later generations

Sandisk Sansa C250 2G MP3 Player With FM Tuner (Refurb)
Although I considered getting a newer player with video capability, I've been more than pleased with the Sansa C250. The price/performance point is just about perfect!

I've had mine for about 6 weeks, and I use it primarily when running. It has been a dream to use. The setup and driver installation is simple, and I've had no problems using Windows Media player as my interface. Removing files is simple, by treating the connected player as a memory device, and going through My Computer to find and delete what I want changed. Genres and cover art install automatically when synchronizing.

Sound quality is very good. I am not an audio snob, but I like good fidelity -- and the player delivers very nice sound, even with the bundled ear buds. I don't find any reason to buy fancier ones.

My only gripe is a fairly awkward system for setting up playlists. The player groups songs by artist, album, and genre automatically; but, if you want any other sorting you better do it on the computer in your

Sandisk Sansa C250 2G MP3 Player With FM Tuner (Refurb)
Just bought this unit for my son, thinking now I need to get one for myself too. Not sure about the other more negative reviews, none of those issues happened to me.I was totally impressed that it it was 100% plug and play, no software required, fully interfaced with Windows Media Player immediately when plugged in. First thing I did was a firmware update, that went flawlessly. It loaded all my albums, displayed them properly, very, very easy to use.As for photos, my son will think that is really cool. Loaded a bunch of pictures for him playing sports, his siblings, friends, etc. Really easy and can see the pics pretty well despite the little screen. The FM tuner reception and sound quality totally impressed me, I figured this was a gimmick option to help sell it but no way. It works well and sounds great. The main reasons I bought this were features, lower cost, and the screen. This is a must have for my son to find his music easily and he'll think it's cool.Overall very impressed

Don't waste your money on an iPod! This little baby is all the MP3 player you need. The sound is excellent... use the EQ settings to get a perfect fit for your ears, or customize your own setting. The headphones included with he player are okay but not great; I upgraded to a Sony pair and it now sounds even better. The FM radio reception is as good as I've seen. In my office building radio stations are hard to tune in, but I can get my favorites using this. Battery life is pretty good... I use it for hours every weekday at work and only have to charge it about once per week. The picture viewer is adequate, but I've rarely used it. By far my favorite feature is the Micro SD card reader, which makes the memory virtually unlimited. If 2 GB isn't enough storage space for you, buy a few Micro SD cards and carry those with you. I have several stocked with different music... one for jazz, one for oldies, etc... and I just swap them in and out depending on what mood I'm in. (You can

Good points: - Internal battery recharges through iPod-style connector. - Micro SD card connector for memory expansion. - Easy to read screen. - Works with Linux (as an external drive). - Good value for money.Bad points: - Occasionally locks up after disconnecting from computer. - Does not correctly interpret MP3 tags sometimes (displaysfilename instead of track name, takes no notice of tracknumber). On its technical merit it I would not recommend it. It failsto perform its main function (carrying around, organizingand playing large collections of music) correctly. But if cost is your main criterion, and you can live withthe occasional lock-up and bad tag handling, then it isacceptable.

I got this little juke box for christmas 2006,it has some pretty cool features and good sound from the equalizer,I think it gives ipod nano a run for its money, but the only complaint I have is that the earphone jack developed a cold solder joint and now only the right side works.

On the surface its not a bad little machine, does a zillion things for a modest price but, this is my second c250 and I think if the firmware update that I'm fooling with doesn't fix my current problem (lcd is now a just a mismash of blue and orange) I will get a chance with a third machine. All within a month's time. I gave my iPod mini to my son figuring this could be mine. Probably will buy a nano next.

Sound quality is excellent, easy to download music on to it and it has all the standard features for playing songs such as, shuffle, repeat, making a playlist, ffwd and such. You can listen to FM radio, which is great. What this can do that an iPod can't is record voice and radio. The only drawbacks are, you have to hook it up to the computer in order to charge it or delete songs. You can only have one playlist at a time. In order to hook it up to anything other than a computer, you'll need to buy a different cable. But overall I love my SanDisk Sansa MP3 player.

Sandisk Sansa C250 2G MP3 Player With FM Tuner (Refurb)
My boyfriend bought me this player at Radio Shack so I can use it when I go on vacation next month and I'm already in love with it. It can only be charged via your computer's USB port, though. To charge with an outlet, you have to buy the Powerduo from Griffin. It comes with a car charger too. I don't use the FM radio very often, but I like that the option is there for whenever I feel like it. The voice recorder is useful as well. This is my first MP3 player and I was relieved at how easy it was to figure out. It also accepts WMA files. I highly recommend this player if you don't feel like spending an arm and a leg on an Ipod. I also recommend it for people who are looking for their first MP3 player. Very great for the price.

Sandisk Sansa C250 2G MP3 Player With FM Tuner (Refurb)
I was hesitant about buying an MP3 player because I am relatively inept when it comes to electronic devices. After researching different MP3 players I decided to take a chance on the SanDisk because of its reasonable price plus I had read that it was compatible with Windows Media Player (WMP). I had downloaded dozens of CDs onto the WMP and now needed something small and pocket sized that was inconspicuous to use at work. My profession affords me with occasional down time so I wanted a small MP3 player with ear plugs that would help me pass the time by dusting off a few musical neural networks encoded in the 60's. First of all I was surprised at how simple transferring songs was using the WMP and the Sandisk. You first open up the WMP and once the computer recognizes the "device" you click on the icon, which allows the WMP to connect with the SanDisk. Then you can either right click on selected songs and select "add to synch" or you can right click on the CD title and add the entire contents

This is a great little MP3 Player, as long as your main usage consists of listening to music. The sound is fine, and it even has an expandable microSD card slot with which you can add up to 2GB (for now at least). The battery lasts at least 8 hours, but I haven't had the chance to test it further.

Sandisk Sansa C250 2G MP3 Player With FM Tuner (Refurb)
I bought this for my wife for christmas. she's not really all that techy but even she can figure out how to put her songs on this one. Works super easy with WMP 11, I like the interface better than that of my iPod.
Build quality is a little cheap but for the money you can't beat it. It also locked up a couple of times and had to be plugged in in order to reset it. I have updated the firmware (highly recommendable) and haven't had a problem since.
For those with charging complaints, the iPod style charger works just fine with the USB cord for this guy.

For the money you can not go wrong with this payer. There are a couple of downsides, but in general it is easy to use.Creating playlists are done in Windows Media Player, which means all your songs must be on the computer. The photo capability is very poor. I can not really imagine using it.

This player is a great value for the money. It is easy to use, has plenty of memory (I fit 370 songs on mine) and memory is expandable. However, it uses a rechargeable Lithium ion battery, not AAA batteries as stated in the item description. Also, the earbud headphones that come with the MP3 player are uncomfortable, and the sound quality on them is average at best. I recommend replacing these immediately. FM tuner is a nice feature that Ipods do not have, although I haven't used it much. Overall a great bargain for those who are reluctant to shell out 150-250 bucks for a Nano.

The contrast level on the display is so low no matter how one adjusts the brightness and backlight that you will have a hard time seeing what feature/song you are selecting. Its genuinely bizarre that they used a very light-blue field against a white backround. Text is black so at least you can see that clearly. Other than that, the sound is good for such a cheap player and it has a built-in equalizer to adjust the sound to your own liking. It will operate in MSC mode, which simply means that you can load music files into the player directly from the My Computer icon. No software of any sort needed at all to load songs into the player. You lose the ability to make playlists in MSC mode but personally I prefer the speed and simplicity of MSC mode. You cannot use MSC mode to play digitally-protected music. Again not an issue for me. If you are looking for a cheap mp3 player, this is worth considering.

This is a great little mp3 player. Considering my kids tell me I am technoligically challenged, I was able to figure this out on my own. It has great sound and the earbuds are pretty decent. I use this in my vehicle since I don't have a CD player. It works great. The instructions that come with it are not good but is easy to figure out. The adapter to use with it for the auto is expensive but is nice to be able to use your auto speakers. I would higly recommend this Sansa.
