ASUS Black Diamond Dual-Band Wireless-N 600 Router (RT-N56U)
Very happy with the purchase, my older router was only a few years old and worked ok but Netflix would occasionally freeze on the tv and also more items run on WiFi so I bought this router. I can't recommend it enough, super easy setup and wow what a boost in signal and performance, everything runs smoother. I wish I would have not waited so long, you pay more for this modem but I feel confident its money well spent.

ASUS Black Diamond Dual-Band Wireless-N 600 Router (RT-N56U)
Pros: Easy To Set Up, Fast, Fast Connection Speed, Great Features -dual Usb, Great price, Looks Sweet, Reliable connection, Secure Connection
After some hefty research, many a site had great things to say about this router. From its initial appearance, to the hardware inside. It performs great and allows for the expansion of a printer and hard drive for FTP support. Love it.

ASUS Black Diamond Dual-Band Wireless-N 600 Router (RT-N56U)
Pros: Great range, strong signal, easy installation
Cons: Little expensive
I did a lot of research on this...C-Net, blogs, Google, etc. Based on user feedback, went with Asus. Years with Linksys, Cisco, frustrated with low signal strenth on lower floors in my home. 2600 Sq. ft home, this Asus is in 1 corner on top floor, and I have a strong signal throughout my home, even outside! Stream movies and X-Box live in opposite corner on lower level of home, NO Problem...no dropped signals, no noticeable lag. EASY install, 5 minutes and done! A little expensive, but well worth it!

ASUS Black Diamond Dual-Band Wireless-N 600 Router (RT-N56U)
Pros: Super Fast
Cons: Issues with AT&T Microcell Booster
Set-up was easy for everything except the AT&T Microcell booster. We have the microcell booster because of poor cell phone coverage in our house and depend on this for consistent coverage. The booster would never get a 3G signal. After doing some research it appeared it is the firewall setting with the router. After chatting with AT&T tech support, I reset the router, then reconfigured hook-ups with the microcell yellow plug plugged directly into the modem internet connection, and the router internet connection plugged into the black computer connection on the back of the microcell. I'm not a tech guru, but I believe this hook-up configuration is putting the microcell "in front" of the firewall of the router instead of "behind" it. Works like a charm now, but REALLY frustrating initially.

ASUS Black Diamond Dual-Band Wireless-N 600 Router (RT-N56U)
Pros: Easy To Set Up, Fast, Fast Connection Speed, Great Looking Design, Reliable connection, Secure Connection
Easy to set up. SOHO environment with wireless printing and media streaming to multiple devices. I noticed an immediate improvement in speed and coverage area compared to the Belkin N600 Play that the Asus RT-N56U replaced. Be sure to enable IPsec Pass Through if you are using a Cisco VPN connection.

ASUS Black Diamond Dual-Band Wireless-N 600 Router (RT-N56U)
Pros: Speed and easy to configure
Cons: I do wish it was larger. It is a small unit. But so far no over-heating at all.
I have tried several routers for both gaming and video streaming. This is the main object of our household entertainment. I also run an internet based business from my home, so reliability is important.

ASUS Black Diamond Dual-Band Wireless-N 600 Router (RT-N56U)
Recommended by CNET. This Router performs well and covers my entire 1/3rd acre yard while mowing the grass. It was easy to install, the price was fair and it looks good too.

ASUS Black Diamond Dual-Band Wireless-N 600 Router (RT-N56U)
Pros: Minimal design yet sleek, great dual band performance
Cons: 5GHz band is shorter range than 2.5GHz
This is with out a doubt the best router I have ever had. After my old one started dropping the signal all over the place and crashing needing a reboot (it was 3 years old). I started researching for a new router. I came across this, read many a review and that made my decision.

ASUS Black Diamond Dual-Band Wireless-N 600 Router (RT-N56U)
Pros: Ease of set up and incredible performance.
Cons: Perhaps a little expensive, but still better than competition that underforms this device.
I was sick and tired of cheaper routers starting to fail, act inconsistently, etc... after just a year and half of use. I did a lot of research, and decided to go with this Asus product. It is sleak, space saving, attractive on a desk, incredibly easy to set up, and outperforms any router in its price range. Do some research, take a look at the competing routers, and consider your home network needs. We are a family of six, four of us heavily connected for work, multimedia, video games, phones, etc... There is a lot of network activity in our house, and this router delivers! Our download speeds jumped from just a few mb with the old router to 20-25 mb/sec. with this router. It is nice to have something that delivers wirelessly what our internet provider is delivering wired - without fluctuations in performance. I LOATH Asus as a company due to duplicitus customer service experiences with my laptop, however this product is worth the money. I would recommend this to friends and family without any hesitation.

ASUS Black Diamond Dual-Band Wireless-N 600 Router (RT-N56U)
Pros: Good looking, small, can be fast
Cons: Unreliable!
I really had high hopes for this router. We have 3 kids streaming home-school classes at the same time for hours a day. We currently use a old Linksys WRT54G that does great, just needs to be rebooted every few days. The Asus installed easy and gave better range. But one of the kids computers had a problem that it would stop and buffer the video repeatedly. Then the other computers had the same problem. Tried updating the firmware, but it did not help. Tested with speedtest.net and pingtest.net. It was all over the place mostly worse than the Linksys. Ping on old Linksys 5ms, on New Asus 45+ms. The Download speed on Asus would test better by a couple MBs with Asus then the next test would be a 6th of the previous test.<br />I really wanted to use this router, did my research and picked the one with the most positive reviews. But I am taking this one back to BestBuy.

ASUS Black Diamond Dual-Band Wireless-N 600 Router (RT-N56U)
Pros: Easy set up, good range, access to hard drives or other USB media from internet
Cons: Runs pretty warm
Awesome addition to my home network where I have 5 computers/laptops, 3 iPhones, 1 Wii, 1 Xbox, 2 iPads, etc on the network at all times! I can go into my backyard and still surf without problems! Accessing my USB hard drive and/or printers via the web is great!

ASUS Black Diamond Dual-Band Wireless-N 600 Router (RT-N56U)
Pros: Fast! Signal strength.
Cons: Nothing yet
After several Linksys routers and a Belkin. This (Asus) by far is the best. CNET reviews helped me decide on this one. For a gamer, this router is for you. I've had this for 6 months now. If you follow the directions, it's easy to set up. It linked to my computer, PS3, and my Android phone with one button click. You can also prioritize each one. It looks very cool too!

ASUS Black Diamond Dual-Band Wireless-N 600 Router (RT-N56U)
Easy setup. All wireless equipment made connection very easily and fast. No dropped connections after 6 months on any equipment. No heat problem but i do keep in on top of my book case. All my kids have been able to connect their phones with no problem. Well worth the money.

ASUS Black Diamond Dual-Band Wireless-N 600 Router (RT-N56U)
Pros: Reliable connection
Cons: No wireless printing
The router works ok, but I don't see any significant improvement over my 4-yr old Linksys. I thought I would be able to print wirelessly with the 2 USB ports on the router, but my Canon printer was not compatible. Turns out not many printers are compatible with this router. I ended up buying a new wireless printer.

ASUS Black Diamond Dual-Band Wireless-N 600 Router (RT-N56U)
Pros: Great range & super fast
Cons: Well maybe the 130 price tag..
Bought this router about a week ago and was able to set it up in 5 minutes since I am using it with fios as the main wireless router.<br />I was considering buying the Netgear N900 (4500) but since it was 180 I decided to go with the Asus which was my choice before the Netgear came out. Well I do not regret it because my wireless speed went up from 14 download and 5-6 upload speeds to 24-25 download &amp; 25-26 upload speeds and I am 30 feet (1st floor) from the router(2nd floor). I know its only been a week but I will update my review as soon more time passes by but for now I give it 5 stars and recommend it to anyone who is looking for a high end router. I have a windows computer, ps3, apple computer, two iPhones, iPad and no problems
