Razer Nostromo Gaming Keypad (RZ07-00490100-R3)
Razer
- RZ07-00490100-R3U1
Pros: Puts more keys easily accessible while playing
Cons: The palm rest pops off very easily
This makes having more keys readily accessible for me as someone with smaller hands while playing WoW. It was suggested by a friend and I really enjoy playing with the Nostromo.

Pros: Great must have for gamers
Cons: new model came out 2 weeks after I bought this as a gift
I have had mine for 3 years now (poor keys have been rubbed off), and bout another for my nieces and nephews; all of which I have converted into little gaming monsters. I built them a gaming PC for Christmas and this was the perfect little addition to get them started into real gaming. I love Razer. They always produce great products. The price seems steep when you are purchasing it, but they last much longer than any other gaming peripherals you can buy. IE you get your money's worth.

Pros: Backlit display, macro input, eliminates the need for my other hand.
Cons: It has a Directional Pad not a Joystick, not as adjustable as I thought.
I have owned this device for about a month and a half, and I would say that this device is amazing! I primarily play ROMs, but I am also experienced with MMORPGs, and the Nostromo works well with all of them. I can play comfortably for hours due to its ergonomic design, and in most cases, I rarely (if ever) need to use my right hand. The sheer amount of programabillity and customization for this device really gives the player a sense of control.

Pros: programmable gameboard for your right hand
Cons: sorry if your left handed
Gameboards like this and the logitech g13 and the forthcoming razer orbweaver are not an option if your a serious pc gamer. Regardless of how weird it might look to you, or how daunted you may feel about programming it, just go for it. I put off gameboards for years, and boy do I feel dumb. Its a whole different level for some games, and generally useful in any pc game, unless its a gamepad game. Use the stick for movement not keys... Dont waste keys on movement functions.

Pros: Places numerous buttons within easy reach, ideal for gaming.
Cons: The D-pad
Overall this is a very nice addition to my Razer Naga. Between the two, I have all the buttons I need within easy reach and no need to touch my laptop's keyboard. My only complaints are A) The gaming keypad feels a bit cheap, it holds up well with use, yet I just feel like it could have been made of some better stuff. And B) The D-pad is decent but I wish it was more of a joystick design with full 360 degree range. Other than that, this is a must have for gamers.

Pros: Easy to configure and use.
Cons: No software included. Must download off there website.
I find the device priced very good and easy to configure. I owned this device for little over 1 week now. Been using it to play Minecraft game mostly so far. I find it easy to learn how to use the device while gaming.
...
Pros: The ergonomic layout and the ease of programming macros/gaming profiles
Cons: The cheap build makes it less durable
I got this as a substitute for my gaming keyboard because I was tired of having my left hand move all over the place just to control my character in FPS games. So I researched the Razer Nostromo and was highly interested in buying it. I went here to get it and unboxed it at home.
...
Pros: It works well for what I want it for
Cons: set up is difficult as the driver has to be found on the web.
I have purchased this item and it fits the bill for me. However from the original setup to the lasteest repurchase some genius decided to remove the disc and make it necessary to down load the driver from the net. A frustrating endevour at best.<br />It also does not last very long.
...
Pros: Easy to set up, does Macros, Fully programable
Cons: Light switch on bottom accidentally turns off when I dont want it to
I bought the Nostromo about 6 months ago and have primarily been using it for playing WOW. I like how I can just sit back and relax with the Nostromo sitting on my knee as opposed to being hunched over the keyboard for hours on end. Combined with the Naga mouse I rarely have to click any buttons on screen as I play. It definitely speeds up my reaction times and gameplay. The software that goes with it is easy to configure and you can make different profiles depending on what game (or character) your playing. Very useful product and after 6 months of using it I cant imagine playing WOW with out it.

Pros: You can program all of the keys
Cons: Getting use to it.
I do PLC programming and wanted something so that I would not have to touch the keyboard. I love it. I use it while doing my programing as well as in excel. I have it set up for all of the copy, past, and other things like that. It takes a little while to remember what you programed to all of the keys but it doesn't take that long. I would recommend this to any one that has to do a lot of repetition.

I got this and the razor naga I believe its called I have 28 macro buttons isn't that awsome!!!!!!!!!!
...
Pros: back lit keys
Cons: desing and keys
the buttons are not as touch sencitive as on the keyboards razer has. hand cramps using this with its supposible ergo design. not a good thing when in the middle of a pvp match and you loose due to a cramp in the hand.
...
Pros: Everything!
Cons: Didn't find any!
This is by far my best investment in any gaming device! I would highly recommend this along with a Razer Mouse as well. If you are able to get the Razer Naga, or The Razer Naga Hex you would be set for any buttons on any game. Since I have the Razer Naga Hex, I can use the key modifiers(ex: Shift, Alt, ctrl) with the Nostromo. So I have around 45 Buttons. I bought this for Star Wars: The Old Republic. I am able to hit all my skills fast and easy. Gonna do an un-boxing of the Anansi as well :) Hope this review made your choice of buying easier.

Pros: Easy set up, feels great, hands will not get tired.
Cons: Stoppers are slippery at times
Currently playing SWTOR and it is my first MMORPG. I hate using the keyboard except for shooter games but usually I use a controller. A friend of mine recommended a gaming pad so I decided to get one for the Star Wars game. I love this product. Very easy to use and easy to assign every key. The best part is the joystick, it makes moving your character easy. Highest recommendation especially for noobs like me.

Pros: Enough keys to map.
Cons: stoppers on bottom
I bought this product a few weeks ago for SWTOR. I normally don't like using the keyboard for games and prefer a controller. I got this since controllers aren't always feasible for obvious reasons. Used this product and I am in love with it. I can map all abilities easily and move around. Only complaint is that the stoppers on the bottom don't keep it in place when I'm using the control stick, to fix this I just got some 3m velcro stick pads for my desk and the device and now I don't have that problem anymore.
