Decent Quality for Your Dollar.

I bought this HDTV antenna after having my cable turned off. I looked over all the antenna's on Best Buy's website and was looking for something cheap but with decent quality in reception.

After reading other reviews on this product I went to my local Best Buy and purchased it.

Prior to installation of the antenna I was getting roughly 4 channels which all were analog. Now, after I installed the antenna and ran the auto channel search on my LCD TV I have 5 analog and 5 digital. However, I actually have more than that because some stations are now doing "multicasting."

I never really heard of it until recently. Basically a channel will not just be channel 2 for instance. It will be either channel 2-1, 2-2, 2-3, etc. depending on how many extra channels are tied to their signal.

Anyways, the reception at first kind of stunk; however after adjusting the rabbit ears and moving the antenna closer to the window I was able to pick up more stations.

Purchased this antenna to receive HD local channels. Was a bit skeptical but for $10.00 might as well give it a shot.

Turned out to be an excellent product. I receive local HD channels in 1080i with excellent reception. I used a $10.00 coupon received from my rewards card so I was able to score two of them for $10.00.

I thought I'd try out an antenna to see what I could get over the air in north Dallas.

Answer: 4 channels (sometimes).

It broke when I moved the antennae, and the reception was pathetic.

Avoid like the plague!

DC - I'm house sitting for my mom while she's out of the country for the next 4 months...she suspended her cable so I purchased a HD Antenna a few weeks ago for her digital TV - I was only receiving 13 channels and had lost hope of tuning in my favorite UHF channel for late night laughs ie, re-runs of Seinfeld, 2.5 Men etc...I was researching the purchase of another antenna UNTIL I read your genius review!!!! I ran the auto program using the cable setting, then ran the auto program using the antenna setting as you suggested...IT TOTALLY WORKED!!! I'm getting 36 crystal clear local channels now!! A THOUSAND thank yous for writing this review!! I can now sleep peacefully after watching late night re-runs of Family Guy - sweet! Or should I say "Freakin' Sweet!" You Rock DC!

This antenna really works

I purchased 3 but only had one LCD TV. I hooked up this antenna and was so surprised by the number of channels it pulled in. I just purchased my 2nd LCD TV and did the same thing with the same success. HINT: Scan for channels with the CABLE SETTING (even though you don't have cable) and then scan for channels with the ANTENNA SETTING. I had to do this to pull channels 7 and 9 which are cable channels. Hope this was helpful.
