Got these screen protectors to protect the touch-screen. Once I figured out how to install them, they are great. The installation of the protector is tricky though. Make sure the screen is CLEAN. The screen protectors come sandwiched between clear peel-off sheets on each side and little paper tabs attached. When you get the protectors, and after your screens are clean, you peel off the thin film that was keeping the screen-side of the protector dust-free and squeegee it on (to remove bubbles) and then, and this is the part that got me, you have to peel off the thin film that is now between you and the actual screen protector. I had trouble getting the top film off, and for a minute, was very frustrated because it looks like the paper tab is all that needs to be peeled off, but it's not. There's a whole film there that gets peeled off. After you manage to get that top film off, the screen protectors are GREAT!

The screen would have been great for the price but....there are stickers on the screens labeling the top and bottom. When you try to get the stickers off all the glue from the stickers stays on the screen and I have not figured out how to get it off without really messing up the screen. It is still usable but you have this blurry smudge up in the corner that keeps catching my eye.

The Nintendo DS Lite Safe Screen's fatal flaw is that the manufacturer affixed instruction labels to both the front and back of each screen. These labels were attached with an adhesive that adhered to such an extent that when pulled as instructed, the label tore, leaving paper fibers and, yes, adhesive permanently attached to the screens. This renders the screens completely useless. In addition, each screen is slightly warped. Because of the way the product is packaged, there is no way one could return the flawed screen to Amazon for a refund. Therefore I would strongly recommend that you not purchase the Nintendo DS Lite Safe Screen.Intec Safe Screen - Game console screen protector - transparent

What a disaster. You apply the plastic protector to the video screen and then remove the sticky tabs from it. The sticky tabs are provided as a convenience for helping you place the protective screen. Easy enough right? Wrong. The tabs leave a film that you can't remove. As a result, you can't see through the protective screen to the game screen. The manufacturer states that this product will prevent your DS screen from being damaged. They never said you'd be able to see through it to the screen.

I purchased the screen protectors, the top fit fine and works. The bottom protector had to be trimmed slightly to fit. With it on the touch screen would not work. Save your money.

My son received this for Xmas and he was happy to get it. It's kind of tricky to apply on the bottom screen of the Nintendo DS. I didn't have a problem with the top screen. I think the bottom screen is a little smaller than the screen protector they give you so the edge of the screen protector doesn't really fit perfectly. Otherwise, it works fine.

A screen protector actually can make the difference between a ruined DS and one that lasts for years. It all depends on the games that you play. If you play games like Harvest Moon DS and Lost in Blue2, the Touchscreen will be attacked by the stylus in an aggressive fashion. If you lack a screen protector, your screen can be ruined by diligent gameplay! I wish I had bought one at the very start... I never will use the DS without a screen protector again when playing games that actually use the incredible potential of the Touchscreen.

Of course, if you are playing games that simply require an occasional tap of the stylus on the Touchscreen, you may not need a protector... The games that use the Touchscreen creatively require the protector.

The only issue I have with these screens is that there are no instructions. I guess the manufacturers assumed people would use common sense when putting them on, but that's always a bad assumption to make. Had I not read other reviews, I likely would have screwed things up too.

These things don't just "cling", there is an adhesive on the back. When you apply the protectors, make absolutely sure that your screen is clean and that there isn't a lot of dust flying around the room. Start from one edge and slowly lower the protector down, using the small card to press out air bubbles if you need to. I don't know what happens when you try to reposition the protectors, because I was fortunate enough to get it right the first time. Just go slow, be patient, and everything will be fine. 6 months and I have yet to experience any problems.

Also, I didn't put the top protector on. If you're careful with your things then you shouldn't need it.

Must have protective screen! Nintendo also sells the protective screen as well; pretty much the same thing. Make sure to have a can of compressed air (i.e. Dust Off) handy when applying the protective screen. And initiate the application process in a room with minimal amount of dust.

When the Nintendo DS Lite Safe Screens came, I was excited. Yay! My screens would last longer and not get scratched up! But they are hard to apply. It made me nervous. The first one, for the top screen went on okay. There was hardly any bubbles and we managed to do it without trapping dust on it. We got to the touch screen, which we put on a tiny bit crooked. Because of that, there was a big air bubble in the corner. The squeege did absoultly no help in getting it out. So finally we decided that it wasn't going to come out, and messing with it might make it worse. I was okay with the bubble, as annoying as it was. I started up my DS. The moment of truth. I touched the screen to start up the game I had inserted. Nothing happened. I touch it slightly harder, and still nothing. The sensitivity was TOTALLY ruined by the safe screen. It took us a long time to get it off. We looked through the Nintendo DS Lite Manual, and guess what it said. It said only to use Nintendo licensed products and

The product itself is good...just be careful when you put it on..and make sure no dust or anything gets on the screen between cleaning it and putting it on. I have a small piece of dust that got on there...but it was my own fault and not the products

I decided to buy this screen protector based on the decent review, 3.5 stars isn't bad. I was excited upon receiving my Intec DS lite screen protector until I actually tried installing the things. I must say, these protectors are a pain in the butt. Bubbles are highly unavoidable with this product. Eventhough there was a squeegee to help remove the bubbles, there was no way to remove all the bubbles no matter how many times I tired. There are two sticker tabs to separate the adhesive side from the backing. The stickers did not come off easily. I managed to remove them after a while but not before leaving sticky adhesive residue and a few scratches on the screen protector. The screen protectors themselves are a little thinner then the ones I have seen. As soon as I started playing my first game, there were notably scratches on the screen protector. There is a decrease in sensitivity when using the stylus on the touch screen. Finally, the instructions were vague. There were only

Intec DS-G1809 Nintendo DS Lite Safe Screen
As soon as I got this in the mail, I was excited to put it on my ds because of all the good reviews. I put the top screen on properly and it was alright, however a few bubbles wouldn't come out. That was alright with me, but when I go to put on the bottom (most important screen) the directions were rather confusing and apparently i put it on backwards and when i went to turn it over after only a few seconds, it already had dust on it and was impossible to get off. So i had to throw it in the garbage and I don't even plan on bothering with any other ds screen again. Just keep the screens clean (I use eyeglass cleaner and cloth) and it will stay nice.

I am not saying that, if done exactly right, these screens are worth the 5 dollars, but i found the directions confusing because i couldn't locate what they called the "squeegee" that is supposedly there the help put on the screens.

My advice is: no screen is going to go on perfectly, so just keep yours clean and it will look better than putting

This is a great screen protector. The package contains a protector for the top screen and the touch screen. It doesn't use adhesive but I have had no problem keeping it on. It was easy to apply with minimum bubbles. They are only around the outside where I couldn't get the adhesive off from my last protector. I have had this on for a week and it hasn't scratched at all unlike my last one. It hasn't affected the sensitivity either. I wish I had used this one first.

The Intec safe screen is really good if you don't want scratches all over your screens, the bottom screen protector mantains touch sensitivity and it prevents scratches and there's no glue instead the films cling to your screens and stay there. Great buy.

This screen protector is one sheet and is supposed to be used ONLY for the top screen. Its designed just for the top screen and if you use it on the botton screen the DS will have difficulty reading your stylus. Why the hell would anyone just need a screen protector for the top screen if all the scratches are going to end up on the botton screen where you touch? Waste of money
