This is a very good game it has wi-fi which allows you to race with people all around the wold. This is a good game for any age,It also has ds-single card play which allows you to play up to 8 people with only ONE GAME CARD!

I LOVE this game! I've played all the previous Mario Karts: Super NES, Nintendo 64, GameCube, etc. - the DS version is the best! It has all new tracks for each cup (Mushroom, Flower, Star, and Special) in 50cc, 100cc, and 150cc. But it also has 4 different cups made up entirely of the most fun tracks from the previous Mario Kart games. It has lots of characters and carts to choose from, the graphics are awesome, and the map on the bottom screen is great. If you have ever liked any of the Mario Kart games, definitely get this one! You will NOT be dissappointed!

My son had wanted this but it was hard to find locally in a store. Shipping was quick and easy. My son loves this game. He is 12 so I'm not sure it would be a good game for younger than 10.?

I play this game mostly!! (Oh yeah) It is SO much fun. You race against other people on their Nitendo Ds' and it is totally fair. You won't get fustrated. (Believe me.) I really hope my review helps!!

My 11 year old daughter loves this game! She plays against her six-year-old brother almost everyday. Easy to learn, but still many challenges, this game has something for everyone. You can play against many people, and you can play against anyone in the world over the WI-FI connection.

This game is so addicting and so much fun. Remember Mario Kart on SNES? This game captures the greatness of that game and multiplies it. I haven't had a game system since SEGA Dreamcast and Nintendo 64. The DS and especially Mariokart, have re-awakened my love for video games which I thought had died.
If you own a DS, you need this game. It is AWESOME. Honestly, words don't convey the pure awesomeness of this game. If you don't have a wireless connection, you're going to have to get one after purchasing this game.

This game is my most favorite game! it has racing, Time trials, battles, and
more! I haven't tried the Nintendo Wi-Fi connection but I imagine that it will be great!

Mario Kart DS is the most complete racing game for the Nintendo DS. The game features tracks from past Mario Kart games spanning SNES, N64, GC and the GBA. There are also a few new tracks exclusive to the DS. Single player consists of Grand Prix, Time Trial, VS and Missions. Replayability on the Single Player mode is extensive because no two races are the same. Races always feel close because of such power ups like the blue shell that aims for the race leader and the rocket power up that randomly pops for the last place racer. The rocket power up transforms the racer into a speedy rocket that knocks over other racers in their way allowing them to go from last place to about 4th place.
The game truly shines in the Multiplayer mode. A single game card can allow up to 8 players with a DS to race or battle. Single card games are limited to just a few tracks, and players without the game are stuck being different colored Shy-Guys with no choice of kart. Battle mode only has 3 stages

It features a flawless blend of new and old that makes this immersive and consuming game addicting and just so much fun! It features some new courses, some old courses, your standard set of characters and a few unlockables, the trusty old set of items from koopa shells to lightning bolts.
There's a lot to do in this game, which is anything but easy: grand prix mode, which contains 32 courses, with three different difficulty levels: 50 CC, 100 CC, and 150 CC, so all in all, you've got 96 courses to beat; time trials (race through a course as fast as you can); battle mode (beat up other players before they beat up you); mission mode (some missions require you to collect a certain amount of coins, some require you to break boxes, etc., plus bosses for each level); multiplayer mode in which you can play with up to seven other friends wirelessly with only one game cartridge;

Mario Kart DS is the game that hooked me on the DS. I have played this game since it came out and I am still playing it.
It's a little hard for me to figure why I like this game so much. First, I have never really liked Nintendo that much, especially the Mario line of games. Second, I don't really like racing games because I have never been very good at them.
In spite of these two big issues, Mario Kart DS is still one of my favorite games on any platform in the last several years. The racing itself is approachable for non-racing fans, the races are creative and diverse and the item pickups add an element of strategy that just simply works.
So, even if you don't really like Nintendo and don't really like racing games, you should at least try this game and see what you think. It made a believer out of me.

This is the one game you have to buy for your DS. It's one of the most fun, and one of the best games. It's a lot of fun multiplayer, and it's also a lot of fun single player. Plus it combines almost all the tracks from previous Mario Karts.
