Pros: Size and image quality for video and still shots
Cons: Now that Mac software is now available from Sony, no complaints.
I give this product 5 stars because it does what a pocket video and still-shot camera should do and does it very well. With 8gb of internal memory, an SD slot is really unnecessary - why? because the battery will need to be recharged before you shoot 4 hours of HD video and you can dump the video files as you recharge. It is also worth noting that Sony now offers the software for this camera for the Mac. It is a simple download from the Sony website. It works great on my Mac. This is a low-price, high quality camera which produces beautifully crisp videos and excellent photos as well. In the Mac, the files are .mp4 video files and .jpg photographs. Uploading to Twitter, Facebook, or any site of your chosing is only a click away. No, it does not have a flash, nor does it have an optical zoom lens. It is a pocket camera, that you will carry with you when the SLR or Video Camera is just a bit more than you want to lug around all day. If you are a serious photographer this will serve you well as a backup or highly portable camera that you can take everywhere you go. One last thing, I like the fact that there is no blinking red light or other distraction when you are capturing video. This probably means that you can grab some candids that might otherwise escape you.
