Pros: Price $20 (used reward zone points), QB Challange, Air Hockey, Horse Shoes and more.
Cons: Navigation...need to get the hang of it.
I normally read the reviews before purchasing any video game. And if the reviews are overwhelmingly negative, I avoid the game like the plague. But in this case, I’m glad I decided to pick this title up. The only reason I wanted to get this game was for the QB challenge which received positive reviews. But as luck would have it, I found several other games that make this a decent buy. Air hockey, bean bag toss, skeeball, horse shoes, and basketball are some of the other games that work well. The only thing that is kind of frustrating is the accept/back interface where you have to keep your right/left hand waist high to interact with Kinect. But once you get the hang of it, it’s not that bad. This game is not as good as Kinect Sports but most of them aren’t. Something else that helps is having enough room to play. Like most Kinect games, you need to stand back so the Kinect sensor can track all of your movements. If you can’t stand that far back, consider mounting the Kinect sensor above the TV for increased performance. An example of this is the basketball game. The Kinect sensor needs to see your hands above your head so it knows when you are releasing the ball. I’m guessing the accept/back navigation and proper sensor placement are the reasons for the bad reviews. But this is not as bad as others are saying if given a chance.
