Revived my desktop to increasing speeds

After so many years of my desktop freezing and locking up on me, I was soooo close to tossing my 512MB RAM HP desktop that I purchased in 2005 out the window and float test it in the sea. But before doing that, I decided to give it one more chance by installing more RAM . Also financially, a 65$ is waaay more cheaper than spending about 1000$ on a new computer and Best Buy allows a 14 day return if it didn't work. Well after installing this 1GB Ram, right after the start-up I noticed the difference. Everything worked smooth and fast. Pictures, Music, Internet start-up and large document files opened up with ease.

extreme performance

I played Rome Total War and it took 10+minutes to load so i decided i needed to improve my RAM, i had 1gb with two 512 cards, so I went to best buy and picked up two of these cards, and it made rome load 1000000000times faster. Thanks bestbuy. It also took my FPS on world of warcraft from 30 with the Radeon 4870 512mb card to 60 with the improved RAM

Honestly I'm a computer nerd. I know my way around a pc. But unfortunately, I was unaware as to how low quality my RAM was. I have had memory die on me before, and I was starting to suspect that my ram was dying.

So, I went to Best Buy, and got myself a new set of Ram. Got this stick, and put it in the PC. Boy was I stunned when I got the thing booted. All of my PC and programs ran faster. I was unaware that there was a quality to Ram this well.

When I build my next PC I'm definitely going to purchase more of this brand.Forget Kinston, forget the others, PNY, and Best Buy service is the way to go for me.

Easiest way to boost performance.

My computer was freezing locking up and was unbearably slow. I was planning to throw my computer off of my 2nd story window, but before I did so I went to bestbuy and bought this product. I installed it in less than 15 minutes and booted up my system. What a dramatic change in the performance of my computer Thanks to this product I do not have to get rid of my computer. I would recommend this product to anyone who wants to increase their computers performance.

Good Deal!

Got this on sale to upgrade a friend's Dell. Plugged right in, and made Windows XP run much better, not a surprise since the PC only had 256MB in it to start with.
I could have saved a few $$ getting it on the Web, but this was a case of "Need It NOW!", so I cruised on over to BB and got it for her.

Works Great

I was having issues with iTunes hogging all memory causing everything to Pagefile. I only had 512 of memory, adding this memory took care of all issues I was having and it is like have a new Pc without having to reinstall everything. Plugged it in and it was recognized, about a 10 minute install. Be sure to buy it in pairs if your motherboard has your memory slots in pairs.

fine upgrade

Firstly, I got this on sale for 50 bucks. I wouldn't pay more than that, even though DDR will become more scarce, hence more pricey as it's phased out in favor of DDR2-3.
It was simple to install in my machine; plug in and that's it!
I haven't noticed much difference in my PC's performance/speed, but then again, I run a clean computer, and I'm not usign it for games. I primarily bought this to boost my video performance, and it does the trick.

WHOA!!!!!!!

Whoa !!!! That's all I can say. I was going to buy a new HP desktop because mine had been slowing down as of late. I was going to buy the HP m9340f which has a pretty good array of components inside.
I decided to try and max out my computer before I went ahead and spent 1400.00 bucks for the computer package and a warranty.
Here is what I was running 2.8ghz P4 with 512mb of ram. Radeon video card and the rest is irrelevant.
I decided to get 4gb of memory and max my system out just to see how it performed because I was tired of trying to multitask and sitting there for a minute or two while my computer was opening another program.
When I swapped the memory out and booted up the comptuer I couldn't tell a difference right away. Then I started in and burned a cd while encoding an hour long .mov file to mpeg2. I figured that should be enough to strain the system and give me a good idea of whether or not it was a good choice.

I recently purchased two 1 GB PNY ddr pc3200 sticks and they work perfectly. I used the sticks on my VPR Matrix which I purchased from Best Buy about 5 years ago. The computer was slowing up when installing new software that require more memory to run eficiently. I only had 512mb of ram then I decided to upgrade to the max. I went on crucial.com and found out that the motherboard contained in my vpr was capable of holding 2048mb of ram memory so I took advantage. I am satisfied with this product.

To those needing to pump up the speed of you computer, PNY makes a very good memory stick to do that. I have soley bought PNY brand memory sticks and I will continue to in the future. I use to have only 192MB of ram, now I am up to 2 GB of RAM...PNY Brand. Love it and HIGHLY RECOMMEND them to everyone!

Dropped right into my Dell Dimension with no problems. The computer recognized it with no configuration necessary. I've been using it for a couple of months now, performance is great, and there have been no issues.

Great Product

Easy to install just follow instructions that come with it. before i installed this, my pc was very slow, it had 120mb ram in in. With this 1GB my pc runs like new, can use multiple application now and suf the net fast.

Very Good Product

My desktop was sluggish and very slow in loading programs. The 256 MB of RAM was just not enough to handle today’s complex software. After installing this 1 GB of RAM, my computer's performance improved dramatically. I no longer see that little flashlight icon searching for the program. I did a little research and found that I could install it myself and did. This module is easy to install. Now my desktop runs like new.

I put the memory in and I had no problems. My programs work much faster now. It is kind of expensive but worth it if you you've tried other memory sticks that were less expensive and didn't work. I would recommend this for anyone who needs this type of memory for your PC such as a Dell or other that runs on PC3200 DDR.

well, i put this into my AMD Athlon (1.8Ghz), wich only had a 256 mb stick in it at the time and it was amazing.
it not only sped up the internet, but i noticed it getting into appliccations alot faster, i didnt expect this much out of it, im glad i bought it

PNY is a great brand - lifetime warranty, & great quality -; that I was already acquainted with when I upgraded my 03 desktop from the original sluggish 256 mb to 512 mb.

This time I placed the 1 GB stick. Surprisingly, I cut waiting time between webpages from 6 seconds to 2.5 seconds ( already in Broadband ). That will translate to an increased productivity of 200 - 300 % ( based on # of pages per hour ). I thought the fact that my P 4 2.2 Ghz has a L 2 cache of 512 Kb or that my 478 motherboard has an FSB of 400 mHz would be real limitants. They seem to play a secondary role.
Unless you are a " gamer " or are into professional Video editing. Which I am not. It seems to be upgrading memory is ENOUGH of the way to go. After this, I will buy another one to make up for a max. alloted of 2 GB. Forget about a new pc, no need for it..!!!

I didn't get to buy it on sale price. But thanks to Best Buy price match, I was able to have an unbeatable deal.

Works Fine

Just like past PNY products, this module gives great memory performance to the computer. Also increases the number of applications the computer runs.
It takes a few moments for the computer to re-configure on initial startup, but on the second and subsequent re-boots, all startups and responses are faster.

PNY is Great!

I just wanted to say that I bought a PNY 1GB memory strip from Best buy which was suggested by the Geek Squad and it worked so well that I came across the info that Amazon had some new ones for half the price, so I bought another one. Now I am 2 GB strong, maxed out and very satisfied. I noticed that someone stated PNY was crap, not true; if you know what you need and buy the correct part you will be satisfied. Some people don't buy the correct parts and put blame on the manufacturer. In addition, I bought a GeForce 860 video card with the PNY name on it as well and it is awesome! Thanks for your time!

This Ram is Insane!!!

This ram is crazy! I mean like totally flipped-out, wiggy, whack-a-mole spank-tacular!!!! There's ram, and then there's this stuff. I could go on all day about this ram. It's hard to express how superbalicious this ram is. The first time I used this ram. I was addicted. There's no words to describe the shear ecstacy that I derive while surfing the information super highway atop a waxed down shimmering goddess of a surfboard like these sticks of ram can surly be. Just stick them in each a slot and BAM! You've got a spicy italian hitman chasing you down the back alleys of Fun-city, across the slopes of Memory-mountain and deep into the forbidden stretches of the uber-data-speed-zone baby!!!!
