Perfection V330 Photo - flatbed scanner
Pros: Fast, Good Resolution
I've been waiting for a great scanner to come out that was under $100. Now I can scan all my old family pictures and all my slides. Thanks Epson for a great product.

Perfection V330 Photo - flatbed scanner
Pros: Easy to use, Fast, Good Resolution
I wanted a scanner that would allow me to quickly scan old slides and photographs for archiving but did not want to spend a fortune. This scanner does the trick quite well. You can load 4 slides at a time, press a button, and the scanner individually scans all slides into separate files. Is it fast? Not really. But my sense is its scans about as quickly as any other. Image quality is very good and the included software allows you to quickly fix minor "glitches."

Perfection V330 Photo - flatbed scanner
Thank you to all other reviewers for your feedback. This unit is a solid value considering price and features. I've scanned photos, slides and film and documents all with excellent results. It's much faster than my former HP Scanjet. The slide/film holder requires gentle handling especially the slide brackets for longevity. The included software allows for a copier function and an impressive OCR application that imports a scanned text document into Word or a PDF. One drawback to the Epson Scan engine is that it adds an underscore and 3 digits to whatever you name the scanned file. I've spoken to Epson and there's no way to disable this function. So far, I'm quite pleased and I can recommend this product.

Perfection V330 Photo - flatbed scanner
I ordered this scanner based on a recommendation in a recent issue of Popular Photography magazine. I've had it for almost a month now and have used it mostly for scanning 35mm slides (up until a few years ago when I bought a digital camera, my primary film for shooting was slide film). I have scanned some older b&w and color photo prints as well, ranging in size from 2x3 inches to 8x10 inches. The scanner powers up quickly and scans accurately. I wish the resolution on the slides was better (sharper), but for printed photos the resolution is excellent. The scanner includes software for photo retouching & fixing, but I've not yet used that as I already have Corel (formerly Jasc's) Paint Shop Pro ("poor man's Adobe Photoshop"). The scanner produces the images as jpg files and uses an Epson color space scheme, but my Paint Shop Pro has no problem reading and converting that to a non-proprietary color space scheme. Overall I am very pleased with this product and would recommend it for someone looking for a reasonably priced, capable scanner.

Perfection V330 Photo - flatbed scanner
I have now had the time to scan a lot of slides. I find the scanner is easy to use, makes good copies with excellent color. I did have a problem with duplicating photos without knowing how I did that. Now that is corrected. The delivery from your supplier was absolutely fine. It came in 6 days. Thank you. I would certainly lbuy it again.

Perfection V330 Photo - flatbed scanner
I was looking for a scanner to process a lot of 35mm slides I had collected over the years.I also had many negatives and pictures to do, so when I purchased this Epson scanner from Amazon, I got started. I was very happy with the results! The Perfection V330 Photo Scanner was easy to set up and use, and the results were very good-considering the slides were 30+years old.The negatives and pictures are also turning out quite nice. I definately would recommend this multi-purpose V3300 scanner for anyone.

Perfection V330 Photo - flatbed scanner
Pros: Accurate Thumbnails, Consistent, Fast, Good Resolution, Simple, Versatile
Purchased a few weeks back to digitize old family photos (some dating back to the late 1800's). For the price, I can't imagine a better photo scanner. Simple to use. Software apps make it easy to refresh old images.
