Stronghold Legends ( Windows )
Ok first off the idea is a really good one. I have always loved the medevil ages type games. Between this game and Stronghold 2 Stronghold 2 wins by a mile. In Stronghold Legends they do add alot of new units and I find it to be a much cooler, funner game with dragons and wizards. It makes it more of a medevil ages type game. The problem with this game is that they took away to much of what made stronghold stand out from the other medevil games. In Legends you get only stone walls, No wood walls. And where as most people would find that to not be a big deal I find it to be stupid. This is because you may not always have a ton of stone to work with but you almost always have MORE then enough wood. You get to make moats (Arthur only) but you don't get drawbridges. (whats the point in a moat if you can't use it to protect your WHOLE castle.) It says in the book that your gatehouse is seen as a soft target and must be garded well. And yet you can't build a moat in front of it otherwise no one

I recently received Stronghold Legends as a gift. Since then, I've really enjoyed this version of Stronghold. I'm quite familiar with Stronghold 2 (the prior version of Stronghold) and found playing Legends to be an easy transition. The graphics are sharp, colorful, and realistic. The AI is reasonable, and the computer makes good decisions which have been quite challenging during the missions played so far. The game is set up where you can play online against other players, or you can play directly against the computer. If you choose the computer, initially, there are 2 routes: the campaign and Legend trails route. I'm currently playing the campaign, which has been challenging at the moderate setting (vs. the easy or hard setting). Playing the campaign and Legends trail helps you to master the economy and battle aspects of the game. Then, you are free to set up your own skirmishes with the computer in Kingmaker mode, etc. Overall, the game is challenging and provides many hours

Sadly Firefly still hasnt improved on the stronghold series, Stronghold legends is in essence a mod for stronghold 2 with barely updated graphics, new units and a somewhat interesting campaign mode. But just like stronghold 2 the game is buggy while it personally hasnt been near as buggy and glitchy for me as Stronghold 2 was. It is still very slow at times when it should not be as my computer extremely exceeds the requirements, as of yet the game has not crashed so theres something.

I really wouldnt recommend this game since the campaign mode is only somewhat interesting and the new units while sometimes fun to play with really dont add that much to the game and the economic side of the game seems to have been pulled back to encourage more warfare in the game. Making it less SIM which I tend to enjoy and more a traditional RTS. Multiplayer is also somewhat drab and doesnt always work I personally had a hard time finding a match and even then it wasnt very fun unlike the Original stronghold

Stronghold Legends ( Windows )
Its really bad. First off its super buggy - I have yet to have a game last longer then 30 minutes without a crash, had to reinstall it like 5 times and best of all it doesnt have LAN multiplayer (in this day and age which is a crime).

Second, it adds new units but takes old ones away, they havent improved the graphics at all - so the ones that looked bad in Stronghold 2 now look really bad, the economic side of its been killed off, its all about combat now but they havent fixed the combat system up.

So its become a bland generic RTS with bad graphic rather then a quicky, fun, differnt castle sim with bad graphics.
